Some background information on the band. Freddie Mercury is the lead singer and plays piano and can play guitar. He has a diploma in graphic design and created the band’s logo. He has a 4 octave vocal range. Sir Dr Brian May is the guitarist and also plays piano and harp plus vocals. He has a PHD in astrophysics and was knighted a year or two ago. He and his father built his guitar from things around the house when he was about 16. The neck is made from a hundred year old fireplace mantle, the body from a table, the tremolo bar from bike parts and part of his mothers knitting needle. It is called the Red Special and is his main guitar to this day. Roger Taylor is the drummer and plays guitar and vocals. He has an amazing falsetto and is called the dog whistle by Freddie because of it. He has a degree in Biology premed. John Deacon is the bassist and can play double bass, drums, piano. He graduated with first class honors in engineering and made an amp out of a stereo cabinet and parts he found in a trash can that Brian uses to this day. Many people have tried to duplicate its sound have never been able to do it. It is referred to as the Deacy Amp. Queen was inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame and all four members were inducted into the songwriters hall of fame. They are the only band to have all members write #1 hits and the only band that all members were inducted into the songwriters hall of fame. You are experiencing talent like none other. Queen is their own genre.

You can’t go wrong with Queen. Millions still love them after over 3p years have passed since Freddie’s early passing. All four individuals are awesomely talented, all had different tastes in music, sort of, so the mix of genres is GREAT!! There’s a song for any mood you might be in. They all wrote their songs, 3 of them have fabulous vocals, Freddie almost always the lead, but…what can you say? One of the best vocalists ever. I know you’ve gotten plenty of suggestions, I’ll just wait and see. Enjoy!!

Freddie Mercury in a black leather suit, singing, and playing the piano with ONE hand!! Could anything be any cooler?

This is my attitude adjustment song, it is a total mood elevator. I love this one. This is another Freddie Mercury composition, If you haven't yet, you need to listen to Queen: Somebody To Love, live at Montreal 1981 and Queen: White Queen live at Odeon, Hammersmith 1975. You will get to see Freddie work his magic on a crowd in one and the insane instrumental skills of both Freddie and Brian in the other. Queen is great on their studio recordings but live they are even better. Thank you for your time and your reaction.

Queen has a huge discography. They were together over 20 years and only “stopped” when Freddie Mercury died. We all love Freddie--RIP, you’ll always be loved, Freddie, and your music will always make people happy-and Brian and Roger and John, all so smart and talented and together, made the best band to ever live. They never let their egos get in the way, that’s for real, though many believed Freddie had a big ego, but he controlled it, always giving each group member and himself equal footing while being interviewed or talking about them all. He was a ham, very private, and shy in real life, though he learned to deal with that, being a rock star, he lived the life, but differently than most “outsiders” would know. They have so many songs and hits and hidden gems.

Somebody to Love in Montreal is one of the best. Fat Bottomed Girls and Bicycle Race - they're a pair. Killer Queen, Save Me, and Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy also have great harmonies.

You probably have heard Queen and not knew it. The songs We are the Champions, We Will Rock You, Another One Bites the Dust are songs usually played in sports and most guys have heard these songs. You can do Killer Queen (video from Top of the Pops), Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Fat Bottomed Girls, Tie Your Mother Down, Someone to Love, There are so many Queen songs. They are very diverse in their music. Just all kinds of sounds. And Freddie was the most amazing singer in rock.
