But as much as he loved to sing and everything he wanted to leave something for his fans to be able to enjoy, and NOT to only dwell upon his death. 😢😢😢💔💔💔💔 He wanted his fans to remember he live life to the fullest !!!! And he wanted his fans to also do that too. Freddie never performed this live. He was too sick to barely stand or sit. Brian was worried he wouldn’t be able to hit the notes, he wrote it for Freddie, perceiving how Freddie must’ve felt and what he saw him going through. But Freddie said “F*** it. I’ll do it.”, gulped down a glass of vodka, and sang it in one take.

This *_IS_* the "official" music video. It was made like this for 2 reasons. First was because Freddie had become too ill to film new footage. Second was to promote the release of Queen's compilation album release "Greatest Hits II"(focusing on the albums *_Hot Space_* , *_The Works_* , *_A Kind Of Magic_* , *_The Miracle_* and *_Innuendo_* ), which is why the video only uses clips of Queen's videos and live performances from 1981 through 1991. And I always loved how heavily featured throughout the video is footage from "Princes Of The Universe"🗡👍

The videos for these end of Freddie's life songs are all bits of old videos put together because Freddie was too sick to make videos by this time. He wanted to record but he could barely stand because one of his feet had almost completely rotted away, he was weak and very thin...but he sure could belt it out vocally. This looking back through the years and all that Queen had done is very appropriate for this song. Brian wrote this one knowing that at the heart of it all he was a musician and would always need to be a musician but his life was crumbling as he was losing his friend and bandmate as well as his band, his marriage was falling apart and the future was not looking bright. He was falling into a deep depression knowing that he would no longer be living with his children. But the show must go on. Music to a musician is just part of their DNA, it can never just go away. Brian has a well rounded life but music is always at the center of it.

Brian May in an interview mentioned that he approached Freddie to ask him if he would like to record a new song they he had written, at this stage Freddie was very ill,Freddie responded to Brian saying Yes darling he took a large vodka and sang this song in one take, Brian also stated that he thought this was Freddie’s greatest vocal performance, and Freddie was to ill to make a video of the song, great reaction thanks 🙏

Sorry people are yelling at you. Jeez, Queenies, be NICE! Many of us lived through Freddie's stardom and his health decline. And video from Queen Official, is official. Freddie was able to sing far longer than he could record video. Personally, I'm always super proud when I see people your age get into and have such respect for the music I grew up with. You do a great job! I'm not a rap/hip hop person, honestly I don't listen to much past the 80s, but I have turned my grown kids on to your music. As I’m sure others here have stated, this is the official video. It even played on MTV; back when they were playing music videos 24 hrs. a day, just days after Mercury died from AIDS-related pneumonia in November of 1991. You are correct in assuming this was spliced together footage of their earlier music videos and concert footage, because that was all they could do because Mercury was declining in health before his death. To give a good example, check out their video for the song “These Are The Days of Our Lives”. This was the last video Mercury made with Queen just six months before his death.

what im going to say might sound like a joke but it isnt. From their last live performance in 86 to Freddie's death in 91, Queen had more top songs that most bands had in their life, that were never performed live, "I Want it All", "The Show must go on", "Innuendo", "The Miracle", "The Invisible man" (i hate that song with passion but everyone liked it), "Headlong" and then you just have to add all of the "Made in Heaven" album, released post his death but was all written and sang before 91. You could still add the "The works" which was rushed for 86 and that adds 3 more worldwide know songs

WRONG. THIS IS THE OFFICIAL VIDEO FOR THE SHOW MUST GO ON. The reason why they couldn't really make a normal music video was due to the fact of Freddie's ill health and the fact that he was dying made a music video by this stage almost impossible. So, the band took the decision to do this montage of bits from previous Queen videos and images taken from some of their concerts. I particularly love the image of the massive crowd at Knebworth Park in Hertfordshire and the Queen chopper because it helps give everyone an idea of just how huge the Queen crowd were and i think symbolises just what a huge outfit oe name they really are in the industry.

This video is a parody of a beloved English sitcom called Coranation Street. It destroyed them for it in America, because they didn't understand it. Freddie vowed he would never perform again in America unless they excepted it. They lost America because of it. The old gesiers in charge of MTV at the time were ridiculous in their thinking.
