The greatest thing about this medley is that they didn't just pick some random Queen songs and smush them together. They carefully and methodically chose which songs to use, wove them together flawlessy, and used them to tell the story you see in the video. The progression of the lyrics let you know what's happening, and I think that is just beyond genius.

Voiceplay have gotten the "title" of the theater kids of the acapella world. Their videos are just as impressive as their singing. Depending on your exact music tastes, they have a lot of great music to recommend. They do Disney a lot, pop, classic rock. They have branched out into videogame related music too.

The biggest mistake people do with this piece is believing they gonna watch a Queen meddley with some funny things. This is, instead, a little theater piece using Queens lyrics as the dialogues part.

NEVER close your eyes while reacting to a VP video - I recommend you watch it again (multiple times)... you will see, why! The guy with Earl in the beginnig and the end is his husband btw. There is so much more to say about this masterpiece... glad, you finally found it!🎉😂❤

VoicePlay is known for having just abou the best transitions in the business. They always flow organically, and yet they can still surprise you with the choices they make. And you're right; what they arrange (because 99% of the time, either Geoff- the bass- or Layne- vocal percussion- have done the arrangement) is 'not your typical medley'. These guys excel at medleys of all kinds (all the ACA Top 10 videos you'll see on their channel are also medleys, performed live), and if you enjoyed this one you really ought to take a look at VoicePlay's 'Trapped: Billie Eilish in 3 Minutes". It is even less of a medley, and is actually closer to a mash-up, but it is altogether brilliant. The way Geoff wove Billie's songs together is intricate and fascinating, and even though it's several years old at this point it still never fails to leave me in awe of the skill required to arrange it. And if you enjoy that one, then you definitely should watch Panic! in 4 Minutes, Parts 1 & 2, because those videos continue the story that was begun in Trapped. (Kinda. Technically the Panic! videos were shot over a year before the Billie Eilish video was made, but that video was made as a prequel to the Panic! storyline.) And also just because they are fantastic.

VoicePlay are indeed so cool. Their videos always start straight away, no into. So be prepared. Their tranistions are always faultless. their arrangements, stunning. And that's without mentioning the voices. And when you know that they do everything themselves it's almost beyond belief at times. Especially in the more theatrical videos like this one. Since having patrons they've been able to afford some help with steadycam operators. Another tip: always watch to the end, as there is oftern a bit more after the black screen. Maybe look at Boy Bands in Five Mintues to see a different side of them, the trainsitions in that are amazing.

I really liked your reaction, how you danced on the chair obliviously. But it's worth watching the screen as well, because there are always small Easter eggs hidden. The guys are professionals in medley, especially Geoff. For smooth transitions, next time watch Trapped (Billie Eilish), Panic at the disco 1 and 2. If you want something funnier, I recommend Boy Bands in 5 minutes, The Little Mermaid medley, Moana and Frozen 2 medley. I promise you won't be disappointed.

If you watch Trapped (Billie Eilish), be sure to follow up with Panic in 4 minutes, part one AND two (both parts together are 4 minutes). Panic in 4 is the sequel to Trapped. And definitely watch the visuals as well. VoicePlay’s visuals are often as detailed and packed as their vocals.

Aha, so you went with an oldie (but very goodie!) for your next one then! 😁 This also means you got to see Earl (the guy in the hospital bed, who was there before Cesar joined,) and J.None when he was still a full-time member. Yes, Voiceplay have massvely upped their game in terms of vocal arrangements and production values in recent years, but they were always producing masterpieces like these too, even in their early years. They remained under the acapella radar for a long time, not getting the same exposure as Pentatonix and Home Free, because they preferred to be independent of any record company, so they could always do their own thing and be true to their creative vision. I think that's really paying off for them now, as they're finally emerging from the long shadows cast by Pentatonix and Home Free as a band that's willing to take risks and experiment with their material.

VoicePlay are the kings of transitions. I know the Queen sings un this but when they did Trapped i couldnt tell it wasnt all ine sing because I never heard anything from her at the time. I loved your reaction to this and can't wait to see more VoicePlay on your channel.😊

It is so much fun to watch your Voiceplay reactions, you bopping along is infectious! And I'll tell you flat out, you ain't seen nothin' yet! There are suggestions for other medleys in the comments, my very favorite medley from them is Wicked. I was not familiar with the show or the music but it didn't matter. Voiceplay is just the best! Have we forgotten to mention that Geoff started doing solo work when world shut down in 2020? Huh. Well, he did. It's not acapella, but he does the arrangement, production, editing and most of the camera work with his wife Kathy. He brings in help for costumes, makeup and set when necessary. You can just look and choose, or start with I See Fire from the second Hobbit movie.

Awesome reaction dude. Voiceplay is phenomenal in these videos. This is actually the 4th in a series of kidnap videos they did. But is awesome by itself as well. The other 3 are.... Trapped. Panic in 4 Minutes Parts 1 & 2. (4 minutes total. Not each video). Then this one. They have many many videos where they transition from song to song. ACA Top 10 Medleys, Boy Bands In 5 Minutes, Moana, Frozen 2, Little Mermaid. And the list goes on. Their newest video is.... Drunken Sailor. It is so much fun. Geoff Castellucci, the bass, has his own channel where he sings solo non acapella using instruments. His latest is.... Folsom Prison Blues. These guys are all known as both "The Theater Kids of Acapella" and "The Kings of Halloween" because of their love of dressing up and performing. Welcome to the rabbit hole 🐰

Yeah, VP is awesome at transitions...especially in medleys. If you enjoyed the transitions here, you should check out Boy Bands in 5 Minutes by them. It's fun to watch and enjoy the transitions! And so many more to choose from, too (trapped/panic in 4 mins parts 1 and 2, any of the ACA top 10s, etc.)

Please do a reaction video to Geoff Castallucci's newest cover song " Folsom Prison Blues ," He rented out an entire decommissioned prison for the making of this video. His wife Kathy was the only film crew. It was just him & his wife in the building. Geoff is the liw bass singer in Voice Play.

Love your enthusiasm on the music - but you do miss a lot jammin' and not watching the story behind the music they show. maybe an initial watch & jam recording followed by a 2nd watch and WATCH it review - the pics at the beginning set the story of who they are here.. i do LOVE your enthusiasm for great music.. but VP is soo much more!
