One of the purest lines ever written in a song and these reaction videos ALWAYS skip right over it. Usually they'll stop at "I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul" and be like "bruh that's deep" and they don't even hear the next line. Its a real shame.

I've probably listened to this song thousands of times (I'm old. 54 lol) and it still hits just as it did the first time I heard it on the radio. Some songs just transcend all senses...goosebumps are given to so many when they hear this song over and over. Do you remember where you were when you first heard it? I was in the car and I'm like WHAT IN THE HELL DID I JUST HEAR? It was so epic. The Stone Roses Fool's Gold did that to me, too. :)

You should DEFINITELY react to the Postmodern Jukebox version of this sung by the GREAT Haley Reinhart. This song has been covered a zillion times, usually to failure, but this album/video version and the PMJ version are the undisputed best versions. This song is definitely in the conversation for songs that have been covered the most that honestly shouldn’t of been. Thom Yorke is a Mount Rushmore alternative music male vocalist. It’s him, Cobain, Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder for me.

So this song was written on the back of Thom York (lead singer) meeting a really beautiful girl at a gig. It's supposed to represent how he felt... the quiet parts is how he acted in front of her and the creep chorus part is what he felt inside as she left. So when you hear the song again you are supposed to feel the anxiety and uselessness.
@jj56612 жыл бұрын
The song is actually about a girl Thom stalked while in university (his own words). He has never met her and doesn't even know her name to this day. He was totally infatuated with her. He admired her from afar and didn't have the courage to introduce himself. Great story, great song and admirable admission of self-awareness.
