This is easily one of my favorite Randy Travis songs. I've not heard him with Josh Turner (not super familiar with him), but man he has a smooth voice. I would love for you to listen to a few more Randy Travis songs, though. So good. "On the Other Hand" "Deeper Than the Holler" "Three Wooden Crosses" "Better Class of Losers" such good stuff. Your smile through this song is exactly how this music makes me feel. Songs like this I've been listening to since I was a child and they just put a smile on my face.

Garth Brooks attributes the survival and popularity of country music in the 80s to Randy Travis. There’s 2 artists that you can deep dive dozens of songs and that’s George Strait and Randy Travis. Randy’s later Gospel albums are my favorite Gospel and his song “Promises” is my favorite country song he sings

I was a youngin' when this song came out. I grew up in a bluegrass/country music family in southern Virginia and was around this sort of music my whole life. One of my earliest memories as a child is sitting in the floor at my grandparents' house with my first ever guitar, probably four or five years old, and just strumming away and singing this song over and over again. Randy Travis was the first country artist that I ever really latched on to and still remains my favorite to this day, with this song being the centerpoint of my love for his music. It's also, at least in my personal opinion, one of the greatest love songs ever written.

I agree completely with your take on both Randy & Josh's voices - both are amazing to listen to, I'd love to see you react to more! (I'll echo Long Black Train & Deeper Than the Holler from other comments. 😁) It would also be great to see your reaction to anything by Vince Gill, who I think has one of the most perfect, pure tones I've ever heard. PLEASE REACT to the original music video back when he was younger and before he had health problems he knocked this song even way more out of the park than he did in this performance. If you keep reacting to live perfoemace you may catch him in his later years after his health issues and he can't sing as well as he used too. Watch videos of him younger and in his prime. Back when his voice was very strong vocally. I have loved Randy Travis ever since I was a kid. And it breaks my heart now when I hear him struggling vocally when he sings. But I love him so much that I still enjoy it. However, simce your just discovering this artists. I'd wish you would react to their original music video to see them back in their prime.

"It's Just a Matter of Time" was originally recorded by Brook Benton in 1959 but Randy Travis did a cover of it in 1989. Randy's version is awesome. BB's version was awesome also. I would love for you to do a reaction to both of them. Do you ever compare a song which was done by two or more different artists? For instance, George Jones, David Allan Coe and Chris Stapleton all recorded Tennessee Whisky. Reba McEntire had a huge hit with "Fancy" which was written and originally recorded by Bobbie Gentry in 1969. Nine Inch Nails and Johnny Cash "Hurt". I enjoyed your reaction to Randy Travis and Josh Turner singing Forever and Ever Amen.

Randy Travis = Legend. He did a 25th Anniversary CD full of his hits, many to most as duets. There was one new song which featured Don Henley w Randy: More Life. A television special followed the CD on which Randy performed many of the songs, including More Life. Months later he had the debilitating stroke which has all but silenced this man’s amazing, beautiful voice😔 Regardless, we will have the treasure of his voice forever, and I feel certain Randy is so grateful he recorded, performed, and included More Life on that special CD. It is also special, an important song, and one all of us should probably listen to now and then❤️ Thanks for reacting to this!! Stay safe & love much💖

When I was young, country was not a main focus for anyone in my family. We knew John Denver from his albums with the muppets. My mother liked a couple Kenny Rogers songs. We all knew a few Willie Nelson tunes, like Mama Don't Let Your Babies... etc, and weekly we'd watch Hee-Haw. That's about it. Back then I listened mostly to top-40, pop, R&B, and Hip Hop. Then in 1992 I was watching an episode of Matlock, and Randy Travis was playing the roll of a run down drifter who needed work but was more suited to singing. I fell in love with the sound of his voice, and quickly learned to love country music. I'm not from his part of the country, but his music feels like home. I could listen to him singing gospel songs forever. I can't recommend listening to more Randy enough. Great critique. The first time I heard Josh Turner's "Long Black Train" I was blown away. It was his first hit and he also wrote the song.

Love Randy, saw him live several times. My late husband used to sing this song to me. He had a great deep voice ❤️

This is a crossover on CMT. Randy Travis is a legend. He is slated as saving Country Music. He had that voice, was so down home sweet, and handsome. Josh Turnner Long Black Train. And Randy Travis 3 Wooden Crosses. You definitely need to listen to those.

People don't know what a great person he is. I once got to meet him backstage, I'm six-foot-one he's much shorter. I went to whisper something in his ear and his bodyguards we're going to throw me down. He said no back off, I asked him to play forever and ever amen on stage and dedicated to my wife. He said no problem and he did it.

I really recommend I Told You So by Randy Travis. Carrie Underwood did a cover and a duet with Randy. It’s by far my favorite Randy song.

It's great that you say it would be a good wedding song, because the original music video takes place at a wedding.
