Randy travis is the best.He really kinda saved country music in the 80s.He cant sing anymore cause he had a stroke a few years ago.Really miss hearing him .

This is when Josh was getting introduced into country and Randy was helping. They have been friends since. Randy has lost his voice since he about died many years ago and when Josh performs this on stage, he sometimes brings Randy out and Randy can sing the final Amen of the song. Very touching!!

Randy's original video for this song is supposedly set at his sister's wedding. The greatest wedding song is "Wedding Song" by Noah Paul Stookey, his wedding present to Peter Yarrow. They being, Peter and Paul of Peter, Paul, and Mary.

We were building our house together. When this song came on, my husband leaned over and whispered the words in to my ear. He kept his word. He loved me till he died. When I had to drive into town and this song came on, I had to pull over. Couldn't see the road anymore from tears running down my face. It took a long time before I could compose myself. It's such a beautiful song. He died 14 years ago and I still miss him.
