They are officially the other 'Funk Brothers' of Motown. They were funk/R&B/rock/soul/jazz all rolled into one. I was a teen when Rare Earth exploded into the music world. They were one of many blue-eyed soul groups of the late 60s and early 70s.🔥🔥🤩🤩💃💃💃

I was a teenage in the 60s And into the 70s in Michigan We had fast cars, dance Clubs everywhere, Motown review, and Pine Knob, all the bands came into Michigan. I did have a great time.

I have plug my Canadian content. Amanda Marshall, a half-black Canadian singer who sings like Janice Joplin - “If I Didn’t Have You.” She has an incredible, powerful, raspy voice. She doesn’t get enough love, especially in the US. If anyone else is reading this, maybe they can suggest another song of hers. She had a number of incredible, soulful, raspy ballads that I grew up with in the 90s.
