@weedlander There used to be a bumper sticker that said "If it's too loud, you're too old."

The best instrumental ever, a master class in musicianship. 😊

This is a true live performance, not the band playing along to a recording of the song. It is has many differences from the studio version, but is essentially the same. The only thing that separates this from a traditional 'live' recording is that this was recorded at a soundstage (an auditorium at Seneca College in Toronto) without an audience.

La Villa Strangiato was based on a series of nightmares that guitarist Alex Lifeson had and is divided into 12 parts as follows: 1. Buenos Nochas Mein Froinds! 2. To sleep, perchance to dream... 3. Strangiato Theme 4. A Lerxst in Wonderland 5. Monsters! 6. The Ghost of the Aragon 7. Danforth and Pape 8. The Waltz of the Shreves 9. Never turn your baack on a Monster! 10. Monsters! (Reprise) 11. Strangiato theme (Reprise) 12. A Farewell to Things If you'd like to see a live concert performance from the Hemispheres album, I'd like to recommend The Trees from Exit Stage Left. Have a wonderful evening, and Rush on! 🎤 🎹 🎸 🥁 🎸 🐐 🐐 🐐

Yes, I can hear you better. My favorite Rush instrumental. I really like the part when Neil uses the brushes on the cymbals. it sounds so good. Thanks I'm looking forward to more.

Ya and this version actually focuses in on Neil's playing through that section, most other videos are looking at Geddys little bass solo then switch to Alex as he's getting ready to shred his second solo.

This song was based a series of nightmares that Alex Lifeson would have especially when they were on tour. A masterpiece! On the album version Alex shreds the beginning on an acoustic guitar.

That guitarists birth name is Aleksandar Zivojinovic. Thought you’d appreciate that. Nice reaction but next chance you get, just play yourself the studio version. You’ll get a greater appreciation for this masterpiece in my opinion. Ziveli!

You mentioned him looking down and back and forth at the beginning. He's looking at his huge effects board in order to change the tone and effects in his guitar for each section. He's changing the sound that many times.
