Roy Clark was a household name for about 30 years. He was a star on TV weekly for 15 years - plus had comedic guest parts on top shows like The Beverly Hillbillies. He was a MASTER player on fiddle, guitar, banjo and just about anything with strings. You really should know who he is. He had big hits singing as well. An all around entertainer and musician.

I don't know how I missed this one from two weeks ago! I LOVE Roy Clark music! So...I saw it, had it queued to watch after checking out some others (including your "Bridge of Sighs" reaction), and I started this up, but looked to my right (on PC...I never watch YT on my phone or Kindle...I need my 32" screen for these important things). At the right, straight out from the bottom of your video on the screen, was...a Super Vasc 3D LIVE video, wherein Dan was (still is, actually) playing NES Castlevania, trying for a NO DEATH RUN. I was on for about an hour, along with a WHOLE bunch of other members there...ones who comment a LOT, when you guys react to Dan's stuff. I rarely am able to get in LIVE, so that was HUGELY fun. Oh, and Dan (ahem) DIED, but...HE STARTED OVER, and when I left, he was being a warrior. I had commented, "Been there, done that. Starting over isn't the best, but, hey...WARRIORS NEVER GIVE UP!" That statement got me a LIVE answer back from Dan: "You're RIGHT...WARRIORS NEVER GIVE UP!" So there! Now I have the dinner going that I should have started an hour ago, AND I'm still stoked from getting an answer on Super Vasc 3D, AND while dinner is cooking, I get to listen to and watch another one of your GREAT reactions! What a wonderful day! 😀 - - - - - - - - - - "(Ghost) Riders in the Sky: A Cowboy Legend" was written in 1948 by American songwriter, film and television actor Stan Jones. Over the years, it's undergone many partial-title changes. The original version by Stan Jones was recorded in late 1948 or early 1949. A recording by Stan Jones and his Death Valley Rangers was issued on Mercury 5320 in May 1949 (about six months before I was born). Stan's fellow songwriter Eden Ahbez sent the song to Burl Ives, who recorded his own version in early 1949. After that, when you start going through a thorough discography for the song, you'd be hard-put to count the number of people who have sung and/or recorded this song. In the list I found, there are HUNDREDS of artists, but...which is quite weird...Roy's version isn't shown there! Yet, to most people, his version is pretty much the most iconic one! My personal favorites of old, were sung by Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Marty Robbins, The Highwaymen (sharing the leads with Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash), or Frankie Laine. My dad's favorite version was from 1949, by Bing Crosby. That was the year I was born, and at the time the song was recorded by Bing, my dad was (honest-to-God) revamping the kitchen in the Crosby mansion! Daddy was a VERY proficient cabinetmaker and carpenter. He finished that kitchen something like two days before I was born on November 29, 1949. His two favorite male singers, ever, were Bing Crosby and Ernie Ford. My CURRENT favorite singers of this GREAT old song, are: Geoff Castellucci, and Colm McGuinness. While searching for other singers, I found THIS! Ghost Riders in the Sky - Original - Stan Jones (1948) *HD* It's audio only, of course, but it's GREAT! DUDE!!! I would link to it, but am not going to risk it. Just search for it, if you want to hear a comparison to Roy's version. - - - - - - - - - - Yes...Branson, MO. Wonderful Reaction! I could sit and listen to Roy Clark's music for a LONG time. He was always a favorite for me. He and Glen Campbell used to play this together, too...and I mean, together. They often did an act where they played a single guitar...together...at the same time...Glen would stand behind Roy and they'd both play the guitar. Seriously. You can find it on YT.

That’s crazy if Dan beats Castlevania with ZERO deaths! That game is crazy difficult, or it least it was to me when I was a kid! That is weird that Roy’s version didn’t show up? Who knows, could be a weird copyright thing. I will definitely search for the original! KZbin is so weird about links sometimes! Thanks for all the info and I hope you enjoy your dinner! Talk to you soon!

Hey there! Just found your channel among YT's chaos. Your reaction to SRV Texas Flood. I watch every reaction to that one I come across. Followed that to this. I wanted to put an album on your radar. It's called 'Chester and Lester', and you can listen to it here on YT if you want. But I would suggest doing a reaction first. They are the "true" masters of the guitar. Absolute Wizards. You may doubt my words, but after hearing them play it will be clear to you. Chet Atkins and Les Paul. P.S.: I like that you're a gear head as well as a player. Gonna check to see if you've reacted to Hendrix yet. Want to see what you have to say about his technique and amps. Jimi was unique among electric guitar players in that he knew the exact distance and position to stand in so that he could manipulate the feedback from his amp. He could, in a sense, play the amp as well as the guitar. Subscribed!
