Been a Rush fan since 1974. Im a hard rocker. Loved them mostly from 74 to 81. But this track is one of my favorite. Another one is Distant Early Warning

Hey Stan, check out another Canadian trio - one that often got overshadowed by Rush, as they were contemporaries - Triumph. Lay It On the Line or Fight the Good Fight. Either the official video, or the 1983 US (us not US) Festival live video from 1983 works, they are great live.

Triumph had some talent and skill...no doubt.

A song that was a last minute addition to the album to even out the sides. And was one of their biggest hits. I HIGHLY recommend The Analog Kid from this album. It's phenomenal.

Tom Sawyer is my favorite RUSH song. Best thing about being a GenXer, was having a cool science teacher in middle school who was into D&D, RUSH, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones. His classroom was covered in posters from all those things. But, yeah Tom Sawyer is a great RUSH song, and one I like more than New World Man. But, yeah, this took me back to middle school and reminded me of my science teacher. Everyone loved Mr. Jones!

LOVE the reaction!!!!!! RUSH I learned to play drums from Neil Peart!!! :) ♥ Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

This was a last-minute "filler" song to balance out the two sides of the vinyl album. It also went to #1 in Canada. Their only song that got that high.

great reaction brother and your compliments to rush I haven't heard this song for a few years but heard it so many times that it plays like a lot of rush in my mind, that a circumstance will bring up a rush lyric so whether I don't want to hear music just the lyrics I'm stuck with both which fortunate. its good like when approaching a long project that I'm doing now marathon plays in my thought for build up energy to face the opposition again I'm a song writer and will have messages myself but these r more God focused which is the highest mountain easy to obtain but hard to climb depending on where you stand. sometimes its the other way around. yeah rush got the deep try caravan if you haven't already live or lp thanks take care

MY first video of yours, so I don't know any other Rush songs you've covered. One that I think you haven't and the lyrics are so prescient even 40 years later, is The Big Money. The songs absolutely rocks but the lyrics are so intelligent and perfect for today's times.

you can thank Neil Peart for the lyrics

I have loved this band for 47 years. I have thoroughly disliked this song for 42 years. I love the rest of their catalogue but I hate this song! I’ll cleanse my palate with Marathon. That’s my sweet spot.

Somewhat same here...and it was one of the few (like maybe 3) that radio stations ever played from Rush. Used to drive me nuts as there was *so* much other fantastic music by them they could have played.

One of my least favorite Rush songs...which means it's still vastly better than most anyone else.
