What a wonderful surprise to see you react to this tonight!! One of my all-time favorites ever!! I always interpreted the story as the second woman coming down the stairs represented the Spirit of Death (as a Temptress!) She's come to claim the male who is unconscious and living between the two worlds. The powerful force of Love from his lover who is caring for him revives him and Death has to go back to the light from whence she came. Now, I will really flip if you do a reaction to The KLF feat. Tammy Wynette on the song "Justified & Ancient" - definitely the single/video version with Tammy and not the album version which does not include her! Thanks for another great reaction and selection!!

I'm 41 and was 13 when this song came out. It is such a great reflection of the unique sounds of the early 90s. People were trying different things, and this track really stands out. I was upset when the group broke up (they had a nasty separation) but they actually just recently reconciled and got back together.

In this video I see Siobhan Fahey as death coming to collect Marcella Detroit's lover. It's a fight between the two with life winning and death saying 'maybe next time'. Great vid and reaction.

I think the song is about a guy that's dying and the missus is trying to keep him in the real world. The evil missus is, I think, the angel of death coming to take him and its a battle of love vs death. Of course, love prevails!!!
