The first guy is Curt Smith. He's a masterful bassist. The other one is Roland Orzabal. Roland is the main lead but they trade. Roland is an excellent song writer and lyricist. I love seeing the joy in your face as the song started having the affect on you which it has on me each time I listen to it and I cannot even begin to estimate how many times that might be since I first heard it way back in 1985. It doesn’t get much better IMO, pop perfection. I loved this band with their first album “The Hurting” which preceded the album “Songs From The Big Chair” which included this amazing song. The album was a #1 smash on the Billboard US album chart and this song hit #1 on the Billboard US Singles chart. The follow up single “Shout” also hit #1 on the singles chart and is an epic song in its own right. I personally love the third single off the album which was “Head Over Heels”. It’s another standout song both vocally and instrumentally. Plus, it’s got a really interesting video to boot. I highly recommend you do a reaction video for it. And if you want to hear how their sound was different, yet still amazing, check out the song and video “Mad World” from their first album. Couple of other tracks on the first album (The Hurting) worth checking out are “Pale Shelter” and “Change”. Hope to see any of the ones I suggested in your channel soon. Thanks!
