The song was most definitely a poke in the chest to Robert Palmer (who was an absolutely unbelievable artist God rest his soul)! I will guarantee you not one single female who is in his videos regrets being there!

Shania Twain is a huge Canadian singer songwriter with hundreds of hit songs. She is one of the best selling artists in country pop history. In 1993 she released her first album & the rest, as they say, is history. Some of her hits are "From This Moment On", "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!", "Forever & For Always", “Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under” etc.

I love Shania, she had so many great hits at the peak of her career in the 90's, lots of great songs. "You're Still The One" is one of my favorites, and "Rock This Country." Next, you should listen to Robert Palmer's "Addicted To Love", you'll get the video better.

At this time she was married to the MONSTER PRODUCER EXTRAORDINAIRE-MUTT LANGE (Def Leppard fame). They collabbed on this album to break country charts and the huge crossover it became. The marriage ended years later, after a child, with Lange cheating with (and marrying) the nanny. Shania then fell for HER husband and married. Shania lost her parents to an auto accident very young and has had illness. She' s back performing now. Lovely woman..

I remember her very first video in the 90s. I am a rocker but i'm from Alabama so you can't help but be exposed to some country music (a lot of which i actually like). The song was called "Whose bed has your boots been under". I thought she was so beautiful. I instantly fell in love with her.

I love everything about Shania.. Her style really drew me in as a girl. Nothing like what I’d see in Ky growing up. She taught me you can rock outrageous outfits if you want to and it’s worth it. Now I have my own unique style that isn’t common in Ky too. It’s best that way. Anyway, most things she sang were good. She had a ton of hits.

That sound, I think is a mix if 3 different instruments. I'd say trumpet, trombone, saxophone??, tuba possibly aswell. Shania has been married several times, but has been married to a violent abusive one aswell. So she is all about embracing the Woman in yourself and female empowerment. She has had a tough life, but she is actually still touring. She's had a major comeback in the last couple years after about a decade being quiet/ out of limelight.

I see there are several wild stories being told about Shania. Her real life had many twists and turns but not like some stories. When she was a teenager her mother remarried a first nations man with several younger children. When the parents died in a vehicle accident, Shania went to work to support her step-siblings. She showed enough talent to get some part-time weekend gigs. When she was spotted by a Nashville producer, she was handed a number of bland country tunes and was temporarily turned into a colourless imitation of a thousand other wanna-bes. Nashville doesn't like change. Then she ran into Mutt Lange, a famous rock producer and began writing with him. Many of her massive hits were from that collaboration. Both of them were savaged by the country music press and some performers, but the records started to sell. Like, by the millions. She and Mutt were married and eventually moved to Switzerland, while still providing for her siblings. within a couple of years he was cheating, with her (former) best friend. They divorced and Shania eventually remarried. Shania Twain is Canadian and so am I.

Shon, her music catalogue is really impressive, but although unique, she takes inspiration from others. If you listen to an album from start to end, you'll find a bit of Dolly, a bit of Johnny Cash, a bit of Cher some Donna Summer, chuck in some Hank Williams for good measure. Her music isn't rip off pop, she's really talented. A rare quality to find these days.

As many times I have heard this song, I just now noticed the violin or fiddle keeping time during most of the song. Nice and subtle. This is a catchy ass song. Even as a man, I've found myself singing this song. I find It's weird to sing it as a man.
