You have to do her performance at the Oscars in 2013. They did a tribute to James Bond 50 years of films and Shirley came out at 76 and belted out Goldfinger. Crowd went nuts. She looked pretty good for her age, too. While I was looking for the 2013 vid, there is a video of her singing Diamonds Are Forever at the 2022 BAFTAs award show (British Oscars) and she still sounds amazing!

To really appreciate Shirley you have to watch her live. Other greats include This Is My Life, Where Do I Begin, Never Never Never, Something and I Who Have Nothing. Elizabeth Taylor was an Oscar winning British actress. Her private life was notorious as she went through 8 husbands (twice marrying the same man). She was stunningly beautiful and men showered her with diamonds. Upon her death her collection went up for sale with many pieces reaching way above their estimate and the millions it raised all went to Aids charities.

Liz Taylor brought out the perfume ‘White Diamonds’ in 1991. The commercial didn’t use the actual song but the music did use a few bars, styles and notes that were very similar to the song, and the visuals were very reminiscent of a James Bond story. So it was definitely meant to evoke the song and film.

I suggest you skip forward around 50 years and watch Dame Shirley ( title given by our late Queen Elizabeth) Royal Albert Hall in front of around 7,500 BAFTA Awards I think 2022 just after Dame Shirley 84th birthday, yes she can certainly still hit the notes and is also great friends and Welsh counterpart of Sir Tom Jones who'll turn 84 in June and he's still touring the world and bought out a number one album when he was 80. They have the skills of singing live across the world and combined sold around 300 million records if not more now you can buy online and streaming, they're two of the nicest people you could ever wish too meet and have no ego and great sense of humour as with the majority from this generation
