This band enjoyed crossover success with mainstream headbangers at the time DESPITE being a Christian band (metalheads back then wouldn't usually touch a Christian rock band with the proverbial 10-foot pole), but somewhat ironically their popularity took a big nose dive after they released Against the Law, their least Christian album.

Michael Sweet kinda sounds like the heavy metal version of Dennis DeYoung of Styx. Not only is Michael Sweet one of the all-time greatest vocalists of any genre, he also seriously shreds on guitar and their latest albums from 2013 up until today are even heavier than their music from the 80s. I went to 80's hair band festival held every year in Columbia, MD and of all the performers who were there, Stryper was one of the only bands among 2 others that mentioned and paid tribute to CJ Snare. Stryper sang "All She Wrote." The band that followed was Night Ranger. They chose to pay tribute to him with their song "Goodbye." And finally, Bret Michaels mentioned CJ and provided a heart felt message about him and then performed the Poison song "Something to Believe In." Maybe do some Firehouse soon in memory of CJ?

@@jimguy9874 - - I assumed the same thing (because that's how most reaction channels are) until I requested to hell with the devil and within a week it was up. That was the only time I ever requested anything.

@@jimguy9874 - because they do 3 videos a day, they can't just do songs from donations, they have to get some suggestions from comments and other sources.

Great reaction! This song was on Dial MTV daily most requested songs for months. It was very popular in early '87. This one with other hits kept them on the most requested list on MTV for over a year.

Michael Sweet has such an amazing voice along with the rest of the band on the harmonies. They are good boys that haven’t destroyed their voice with drugs and alcohol🤘
