Another nice reaction, Kevin. You've been led to the "E' songs (only Epilogue is a _true_ ballad). There is also *_A Frozen Serenade_*, which starts out like a ballad. They have a few songs that start out like a ballad, but end up being much heavier and thrashier. They just love to play FAST :0). The Legend of the Swan line refers to the 'legend' that a Swan only sings one time in it's life - just before it dies. That reinforces the imagery in the song that the 'brave soldier' will sacrifice his life in the battle.

Song is from the 3rd album, Electric Pentagram, lyrics by Asami, music by Miyako. The composition was influenced by Chopin's Revolutionary Etude and Dvorak's New World Symphony. Asami has classical ballet in her background and this classical music with piano reminded her of Swan Lake. Miyako is a classically trained pianist, the piano during the song is on backing track, recorded by her. If you check out this song from Zepp DiverCity 2020, you can see her play the Chopin Etude as an intro to this song. She played a piano intro at this show, but it wasn't included in the posted video. As for a ballad, those are the "E" songs. "Empty Daydream", "Epiloge" and "Edge of the World"

Some knowledge of history is required to understand the meaning of the lyrics of this song. In 1831, some officers and citizens rose up against the Polish government, which was under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, in what was known as the 'November Revolution', but failed due to the direct intervention of Russian troops. Chopin received this news during a performance tour. He never set foot on the soil of his homeland again. When the Russians invaded Warsaw, Chopin's representatives presented the Etude OP 10, No. 12 in Paris. Franz Liszt, a friend of Chopin, then named it the 'Revolutionary Etude'. Miyako composed Swan Song based on this 'Revolutionary Etude' and Dvorak's 'New World Symphony'. Asami (vocalist), a former ballerina, wrote the lyrics inspired by Norse mythology and the ballet suite "Swan Lake", based on the historical background of the "Revolutionary Etude". "SwanSong" is a requiem for the warriors who fought to reclaim their homeland, a masterpiece that only Love Bites could complete. There are several live recordings of “Swan Song,” but this one from 2023 is the least appreciated by fans. This is not because of their performance, but because of the unclear sound of the piano. We assume that perhaps due to some accident, only the microphone output from the piano could not be recorded.

I would like to suggest this other upload of the same performance of ''Swan Song'' with Chopin intro, kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXPLpaSdnr14d5Y This is in 1080p and has accurate [cc] lyric subtitles. The link ending "Jpk" is 720p & has two errors in the embedded subtitles. I appreciate Harry's efforts, but he is unable to correct the embedded lyrics. 🐺 dreg👁

Not better in terms of performance, to be clear, just mixing and the inclusion of the Chopin intro. This is actually the better performance from the band, especially Asami. It's just a bit unfortunate in terms of the track editing and piano mix.

This version is better because of GREAT FAMI as bass player. Sound of PIANO by MIAKO is much better in previous version. Also CHOPIN intro..

The 2020 version with the Chopin intro has a much better mix overall. This version has perhaps a better vocal performance from Asami and Fami on bass…. But still most fans would recommend the 2020 version. Still amazing here, but try the other one. You’ll understand when you do. 🤘🎸🐺

LOVEBITES "Resurrection" (Fami's debut) were shows on consecutive nights, March 11 & 12 of 2023. This followed nearly 2 years without LIVE performances, the "hiatus". These shows were released on Blu-ray/DVD/2xCD as "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate" Parts One & Two. The earlier performance from 2020 with Chopin intro being suggested is equally impressive in performance, but has better clarity of the piano in the audio mix, both when Miyako returns to piano and her solo outro (balance, high/low notes). There are 2 uploads of this 2020 performance, the link ending "XEA4" is in 1080p with accurate [cc] lyrics. The link ending "pJpk" is in 720p and has 2 errors in the embedded lyrics that "Harry" is unable to correct. I would encourage "reacting" again as the intro is magnificent and the clarity of piano at end is significant. I speculate that the absence of the Chopin intro on the "Official" upload is due to "rights" related to Chopin. It was again performed as intro to "Swan Song" in 2023 and is on the disks released of those performances. "Epilogue" as suggested by boyzyu is their only "ballad" that stays "ballad" tempo start to finish. Also, the link he offers for "Swan Song" with Chopin intro is the one with [cc] in 1080p. Another, although not a "ballad" begins with Miyako's Rachmaninoff intro to R&B 'vamp' from Asami & though a more "rock" song, the instrumental interlude is almost "prog-metal" (imo) as many of them are. Sorry, you have to choice the live version of 2020, with "Chopin intro": it's another level. This version you have reacted hasn't the intro and has a bad mix, where the piano is missing among the instruments. I'm sure you could appreciate the older version.

Ok, we appreciate your interest in Lovebites, but you need to pay more attention to what people are telling you in the comments. You got a lot of suggestions for the version of Swan Song WITH the Chopin Etude as intro. If you want to build your subscriber base, I suggest you do a better job of actually engaging with your viewers.

ok, I’ve been told. thank you, I do try to keep up with everything, but gets tricky when there is so much amazing support for all the massive bands on the channel, so many suggestions, I also work full time as a Nurse, still trying to get over the loss of my father and my mother is quite unwell too currently. thanks for the support though, I will try to do better👍🏽❤️❤️
