The backdrop of younger Elvis with his fans, overlayed with the 1970 performance makes me feel a little sentimental about him! He probably squeezed 100 years’ worth of living out of his 42 but, man, he blazed through quick. 😢

Love it. Neil Diamond was in one of these performances and Elvis recognized him from the stage and praised his song, Neil said the audience said go up there and sing it with him. Neil said I was not about to go sing my song with the king. Neil said "I couldn't believe he even knew who I was". I held back tears I was so thrilled." Thanks Seph.

I always play back the ending of the song, those three hand movements he does just at the very end. He just does it so cool. And there was no rehearsal. Just did it there and then as he does to every song. That's what he says ''I just do what I feel.

Hey Seph 🙋 I finally made it! 🎼It's Now Or Never🎼... Or is it better late than never? Anyhoodlesian! This was performance was during the August 12, 1970 Midnight Show... Which was a FANTASTIC Show by the way 😍💖 Oh my God Elvis was on FIYAH 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Let me tell you bay- bee (you try spelling "baby" the way Elvis said it and see how well you do.. Go on I double 🎶Hound Dog🎶 dare you!) Okay so: First: The jumpsuit Elvis wore here is actually called The Red Tab Jumpsuit but it got its own nickname over the years and became more famously known as the "Chains" Jumpsuit. Elvis first wore The "Chains" Jumpsuit on August 11, 1970 during the Midnight Show. The last time he wore it was for a concert in San Diego, CA on November 15, 1970. Elvis wore The "Chains" Jumpsuit several times in 1970 during concerts. Fun Fact: Elvis wore a total number of 5 different belts with the "Chains" Jumpsuit. The white Madame belt is the one Elvis first wore with this jumpsuit. The last time wore the "Chains" Jumpsuit he wore a red macrame belt with it. Finally: Elvis Banter/ "Love Me Tender" link from the August 12 1970 Midnight Show- at around the 3:00 minute mark you will see one of the ladies Elvis is kissing hands him a note which he tucks into his white macrame belt: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d2PZm2agZZidptksi=WGZwVhHE055AlfCI The song Elvis performed after that was of course "Sweet Caroline" and minor spoiler, Seph, that note will make a third appearance during a different song that he did during this show 😉 August 12 1970 Midnight Show performance playlist link here: kzbin.info/aero/PLHFF336wAnIjI-O1zvERUtAlGZlXGfXfu&si=q9NrgOmzlTbUXAVa FABULOUS REACTION SEPH BRAVO 👏👏👏👏👏🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🙌💃🙌💃🙌💃🙌💃🙌💃🙌💃🙌💃🙌💃🙌💃🙌💃🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 GOLD STARS 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 SO SORRY I WAS SO LATE TO THIS ONE! Women would give him notes everywhere he went. Names and Telephone numbers. somebody probably slipped it in his belt back stage. In the famous interview at fort dix when he comes home from the Army and is in the middle an interview with the press at the airport, a tall blond girl interrupts the interview pushing an envelope down his shirt, I mean he was on the air. There has never been a sex symbol in any era, that had the women after him like Elvis. That's why some men hate him. They've torn his clothes off, they have climbed walls and fences, they have tried to get into his hotel rooms, two girls had themselves shipped to Elvis, from England in a large crate. Seriously people have no idea, about that. People say, "oh Elvis was always trying to pick up women, no he didn't have to try, they came to him. When he was in the hospital for exhaustion in Vegas, the private nurse who attended him, she was stern and older, was leaving the hospital and this was the time that Elvis' manager put tinfoil over the windows inside. This nurse was stopped by a group of girls, who ask her what they did with the tinfoil they took off the windows. She said they threw it away, they said where did they put it? She couldn't believe it. That is crazy. Nobody else but Elvis he was a phenomenon. Enjoyed it Seph
