That backfeed on the guitar led to changes in their music every album thereafter.

I think you meant “feedback” where the sound from the amp gets back into the electric pickups and is re-amplified causing a type of “sustain“… Also, part of what you’re hearing there is the guitar pick is held just close enough to the vibrating string to cause a sort of ‘buzzing’ sound, but not so close as to damp it. Just an FYI.

One of my favorite Beatles songs and the first time intentional feedback was used on a record.

Hi! "The Beatles - I Feel Fine" was released in November 1964. The single topped the charts in the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and Sweden. In the Uk, it was the fifth-highest-selling single of the 1960s. For me one of best songs by the Beatles.👍

Getting to watch an honest reaction without the bias and historical weight that a song like this carries in the U.S. and U.K. … well, I wouldn’t have thought it possible, but I would probably name this as my favorite Beatles song, although I’m crazy about so many older Beatles songs, but to watch it’s obvious effect on you as you hear it for the first time is so profoundly gratifying and affirming at the same time. Thank you so much for choosing it to react to. Another one from this era that was so unprecedented from a “pop band” in the mid-sixties, actually two you should consider are “Paperback Writer”; and “Help”. I started to say “check them out”, but that would make moot the whole POINT wouldn’t it? LOL … So if you’re willing to trust me and take my word for it, speaking as the most trustworthy man you know, (did I mention that?) and your loyal assistant down in Texas.

George's feedback and subsequent riff are the GREATEST GUITAR LICKS OF ALL TIME - MONUMENTAL!!!

The feed back is from John's guitar and he plays most of the signature riff. Amazingly it is only off 3 basic chords

Great, Great early Beatles song and this may just have the greatest guitar riff in the history of recorded music that John Lennon and George Harrison just tore up. There guitars may have been smoking after they laid this track down and Harrison's rockabilly influenced guitar solo is incredible. I must say young lady that you have a most infectious smile and great eyes. Very charming and I say that in the most respectful way. Peace & Love Young Lady

@@JoeSmith-zv4icOh my god get real dude. It's always british Beatles fans assuming the rest of the world has an identical cultural backdrop. This isn't even one of their most popular singles and, I hate to break it to you, even in the western world, a majority of people who aren't aging white dudes do not know this song in 2022
