You guys should listen to "I Wish" by Skee-Lo, as it's thematically similar to "Passing Me By," but funnier. As for jazz rap, I know you've listened to "Cool Like Dat" by Digable Planets already, but you should also check out "Where I'm From" by the group, and make sure you watch the video for it, not just a link with the song. Hmm... and here's a classic song where Butterfly from Digable Planets is a featured performer... "Luchini AKA This Is It" by Camp Lo. (Again, make sure you watch the video.) I think you guys will lose it when you hear that one.

One of the most creative and underated hip hop groups in the universe. They used to remix their songs as well, and some of the remixes were nicer than the original. The Fly as a Pie version of this song is hard coded into my brain, I couldn't stop listening to it.
