Thin Lizzy were incredible live, this lineup includes the Legend Gary Moore. There is a huge number of great songs by this group. Most of this lineup were Irish but the guitarist with the longest hair is American Scott Gorham. Rip Gary and Phil.

My fav Thin Lizzy is "Dancing in the Moonlight" Not to be confused with the King Harvest Song of the same name. Their "Live and Dangerous" album is perhaps one of the all-time great live albums. Love your reactions!

Phil Lynott is the singer and song writer he is from Dublin...if you want to go deeper you can listen to Emerald or Massacre or Still in live with you. But make sure it's off of Live and Dangerous considered one of the greatest live albums ever. Enjoy thank you for keeping Phil alive RIP!!!

'Whiskey In The Jar' is another good one by these guys, a cover of a more traditional Irish song which they rocked up and put a new flavour on. Definitely recommend, has some really memorable guitar work.

Thin Lizzy was huge dude. A different/unique band loved by rock fans in the 70s. They could absolutely draw crowds of that size.

Under appreciated in the USA, but nevertheless one of the most influential bands of their era. The curious thing about this performance is that there was a power failure during the song that caused them to leave the stage for a while, and yet it all appears seamless.

They have been named as influences of Bon Jovi and Metallicaby by the bands , the latter did a cover of Whiskey in the Jar. They play it for Phil every time they are in Ireland 🇮🇪.

dude, so so glad you like this. Phil Lynott, was a mixed race irish citizen who dabbled in punk, pub rock and classic hard rock sounds. He died of damage to his body by drink and drug. He was amazing. please research and find more of his work! You'll not be unhappy!

Surprised I'm actually second! As your first comment said, that's a black Irishman, imagining what it would be like to be an American cowboy in the old west. Beautiful musicianship and beautiful lyricism.

Incredible, unique band with tons of fantastic songs, I think "Black Rose" would be great, it contains riffs from U.S., Irish and Scottish folk songs representing the backgrounds of the various band members. "Waiting For An Alibi", "Emerald", "Bad Reputation" and "We Will Be Strong" are some more faves among many others.

I love the Black Rose album, and the title track! The sound, the mix of topics in ther songs. Older songs too, King's Revenge, Wild One, great tracks and their cover of Rosalie is stellar.

Lizzy with this lineup was awesome. Now, can you do a reaction to the other Irish guitar hero, the legendary Rory Gallagher? Rory is in his element live, so any of the Rockpalast pieces would be great, as well as the 1979 Rock Goes To College performance. You won't be sorry!

This is a late 1978 Sydney concert Where the legendary Brian Robertson had left the band. Legendary Gary Moore took his place. But as Gary is a legendary guitarist while playing his own stuff (We want Moore live) I prefer the complementarity of the Gorham/Robertson pair.

For the next song simply let that video run - they always did a segue straight into "The Boys are back in Town" - their biggest hit - to push the energy up a bit. Otherwise try Black Rose, Southbound, Jailbreak, Rosalie, Emerald & if you can find it, Fools Gold. Phil was one of Irelands greatest poet/songwriters. Bad luck scuppered their chances with America but that was what they were capable of even with a pick-up drummer (The usual drummer isn't with them here)
