More country please. Country music opened my mind to so many other ideas when I write songs. Please consider these suggestions (more will come): Billy Cyrus "Achy Breaky Heart" "Words By Heart" Little Texas "God Bless Texas" "Amy's Back In Austin" "My Love" " and so many others Dwight Yoakam "Try Not To Look So Pretty" "Fast As You" Shania Twain - almost every song she has. Shania Twain and Faith Hill were two of the first country singers to bridge the gap between pop music and country music. Shania Twain is (or was) married to record producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange. One of the greatest bands he produced in the 80s was Def Leppard.

The context on "don't take the girl" changed. His dad told him "some day you'll change your mind". Btw research says she did survive, that was her running at the end of the viseo. The whole point of the song is how the context changed.

I interpreted the first part of this song a little differently when I was younger. I thought the boy and girl were friends, which is why she had a fishing pole and wanted to go fishing with them. But the dad was telling his son we can't leave her behind, as in she can't stay at their house alone, they need to take her home. And when he said son I know you don't want her to go I thought that was like the son doesn't want the girl to go home. He wants her to go fishing with him. Someday you'll change your mind, I thought was the Dad's way of saying like you know someday as you get older and things change you'll grow apart, because that's just kind of a common thing that happens in life. Of course that can be difficult to explain to a young kid so it's just easier to say you know someday you'll change your mind. And then the next part singing about Jimmy Tommy and Bo, I thought was like send them home but don't take the girl home, because he had a childhood crush on her and wanted her to stay with him. So then I thought like the rest of the song was kind of like in a way proving his dad wrong that what might have seemed like a silly childhood crush didn't fall apart as they got older, it only got stronger.

This was very early in Tim's career. He's still putting out great music. His wife is Faith Hill. She's also a country singer. Tim has songs like, You'll remember me, Live like you were dying, Real good man, I like it I love it. Humble and Kind. Some with his wife. Let's make love, It's your love and speak to a girl

I love in music, country in particular; can take the same exact lyric, use it multiple times, and each time it takes on a completely different meaning. Brilliant! Another example of this is; Kenny Chesney, "There goes my life". Great reaction today guys! May the 4th be with you! 😃

@ToddVance in the song it's implied because each verse is calling out to not take the girl and eCh yi.e she's OK.. so, to me, she always was fine because that's how the verses went. The positive vibe of the song would never end with her dying..
@ToddVance
@ToddVance Жыл бұрын
@@creinicke1000 well I'm just saying... this is just the interpretation of the guys hired to make the video. Great video but it doesnt necessarily reflect the actual lyrics. I would HOPE that God would allow her to live but the song doesn't tell us, so we cannot empirically state that she lived because some Nashville producers decided to make her live in a video...thats all.

I like Tim McGraw's older stuff from the 90's. I remember seeing a ton of him and his wife's stuff when I was a little kid in the 90's. I'm not really a fan of his modern stuff beyond the 2000's, even though I know a lot of people are.. His singing style has seemed to change to me since the 90's. Seemed like he dropped the unique qualities that I used to like about him. But that's just my opinion.

Of course she survives.. Each verse starts with trouble but moves to positive, so ending will of course be fine and it starts last verse in the fade out with new boy going fishing .. the baby now a little boy.

It's crazy how people that were always into only hip-hop find it surprising that a song would actually tell a story, You said: "He's actually talking about something". Yes he is, just as songs have historically, from happy, fun stories like the Beatles "yellow submarine" to this touching emotional song. Song lyrics have historically had storylines. That is until Hip-hop came along with just bass and word rhymes. Often, we see hip hop fans having a problem actually being able to focus enough on lyrics to put the words together for cognitive understanding. I've seen their eyes go blank like a puppy trying to understand a language while bobbing their heads completely out of sync with the music. It's odd watching a generation that has been lost from real music reacting as if it's something from another planet. when in reality, it is THEY that have been lost in space while listening to nonsensical beat noise. But you seem like nice people. I hope you continue to discover real music and song. Thank you for your video.

The whole song is great, but the BEST part is the last scene where the dad was taking the family fishing, and "the girl" (the new mother who was having a rough go during the delivery in the hospital) came running up carrying the baby in a carseat! Woohoo! Thank the Lord for answered prayer! P.S. I hate when KZbin puts ads and video suggestions over top of the last 10-15 seconds of EVERY video! A lot gets missed.

You should check out the Australian children's group, the Wiggles. Although they are geared toward preschool/kindergarten kids, they do a few songs that aren't really "little kid" songs. They're celebrating 30 years this year, you should check out their version of the song, Castle Of Dromore. It's an old Irish lullaby originating in the 1800s, it's a very good song and would make for a great reaction video ❤

If I Were You, 4. " Little Rock. Plus a few others but this will be enough to start you on you way. Each song tells great stories. Oh, if you listen to Love Me, get the tissue ready.

Such a clever use of a repetitive phrase to show how males look at females in a heterosexual situation. We begin by begging older males to not force us to be with those cootie spreaders. Dad, please don't take the girl with us. We grow to realize that she is more important than any material possession we have. Here's my wallet with my money in it, here's the only thing I have left to remember my grandma-take this watch, here's my car keys, my credit card. Look guy, take all I own but don't take what I want most. Don't take the girl from me. Eventually, we are as willing to lay down our life for her as Jesus was willing to lay down His life. We think we can offer God something he does not have and we try to bargain. Then we realized our life might be worth an exchange for hers and we offer our very life to God. At that point I. The song, God has made the man see how very much she is. No need to take her or the boy . At the end of the video, you see Johnny Sr taking little Johnny fishing and his son is now right years old. And who is coming along carrying their picnic basket? That's right, the girl.
