The great Lenny Williams is on lead vocals here. I recommended this song and wondered if I should have recommended You’re Still A Young Man, instead. Both are great. This one is my favourite because of Lenny. I think you, personally, will like You’re Still A Young Man a bit more. You can’t go wrong with Tower of Power. If you dare to go more upbeat, you might like What is Hip and Funk The Dumb Stuff.

My favorite band, you should check out their track Boys of bays, very intense work on those saxs, trumpets, drums and all the other instruments along with it!! I think I had already suggested this, but since you did this reaction, I am suggesting this again! It’s a must to see them in concert, you would have a great time! They are getting ready to go on tour and cannot wait to see them again!

First and foremost, thanks for reviewing old school funk and soul. IMHO, Lenny Williams was THE best front man they had with the best lineup. I've seen ToP almost 100 times, so you can imagine how old I am-lol. I too like the vibrato Lenny does at the end of certain words. Listen to "Cause I Love You" from his solo career. Plenty of vibrato in that song. He's quoted that he actually cried when he wrote the song. Anyway, I saw them last in October of 2018 and hope to see them soon. They're still tighter than a clenched fist.
