Her family and their greed. They were supposed to protect her and instead they all fed on her. Her mom blamed Bobby for her cocaine problems when her own brother introduced her... she was abused by a female relative, etc. She was a heavy smoker and that is what hindered her singing later. Yall should do her national anthem video. I'm a professional singer who hits high notes with the best of em....& ain nobody could touch Whitney when she was in her bag. Her voice had EVERYTHING a singer wants. Power, strength, range, perfect tone, perfect pitch, runs, differentiality (meaning, singing live, she was able to sing the same line repeatedly but nvr doing it the same way twice), grace, natural reflection capabilities, ability to switch head to chest voice at a split second, constant vibrato, breath control....letting her hold notes a crazy long time....she was THE GOLDEN VOICE.

We don't have good signers that express love, unity, strength any more; which affect the world's love to our neighbors. We need this kind of singers.

The first time I heard Whitney sing was on the David Letterman’s show and she was about 19, I had goosebumps and David Letterman was visiting stirred by her beautiful voice. You need to listen to her without interruption. R.I.P., beautiful Whitney.
