I am a Muslim and I got astray from Islam. During this pandemic time, I joined an online course (for super memory and super-fast reading). So, the coach instructed me to read every day anything using the technique which they taught me to read faster. So Ramzan month was approaching, I was confused about what book should I read using that technique everyday. Then an idea occurred to me that I should read Quran with English translation. This will benefit me in two ways First, it will improve my reading speed plus I will indirectly read the Quran. So few days, I read the Quran just for using the speed enhancer technique. But after few days, I started to take it very much seriously. I kept the reading practice aside and seriously read the whole Quran . It completely changed my heart. I was so ashamed later from being away from Islam and I repented so many times for this. I now pray five times. I wake early in the morning to pray for Fajr prayer. I am reading Hadith, watching and exploring good Islamic video over the internet. May Allah bless us all and don't let us astray till the coming of the day of resurrection.

Alhamdulilah when I READ Quran for the first time I was shocked I couldn’t stop thinking about the part “THis is a book in which there is no doubt” and Surah Alfatiha really got me, I remembered I stared at it for around 30 minutes just thinking about how the words got me. I got the message it was clear when I read “For the disbelievers Allah has already put a veil in their vision so they do not see, a Seal in the hearts, and their hearing has been disabled so they do not hear. Those words got me I was so scared for the things I done in my life. Alhamdulilah I didn’t believe in GOD before I never had a religion but I grew up with my Catholic Family I remember going to church on sundays and I was always afraid of walking inside and looking at the statues and such. So when I read Quran to me it was clear this is the truth. And when I read that “Allah chooses whom he wills” I was so happy I’m chosen Mashallah Allah huakbar! May allah guide us! I’m praying 5 times a day and it has changed my life.

God is a Creator of this universe and everything in it. God is controlling everything that He has created. God is not similar to any of His creation. God is not human. What Jesus did by teaching his followers were just the same as all the previous prophets. All were messengers of God. Other prophets too have extra power like Jesus but of different categories. Moses cut the red sea, that no other prophets can do unless if God gives the power. So when the prophets show their power same like Jesus , so this does not mean people who have power can be God. Christian are misled by these. The Bible was written by writers not infront of Jesus. Meaning Jesus did not see what was written about him, Jesus did not certified the Bible now. Trinity was created after Jesus was gone. All the previous prophets including Adam don't know Jesus, trinity or holy ghost. Prophet are messengers of God, so they should know who was giving them the messages. This is common sense. The angel have met the previous prophets but the angel did not tell them about trinity, jesus or holy ghost. So this shows that trinity was created only after Jesus was gone.

@@twnb7733 You are a liar It is mentioned in some Hadis/Hadith that the current verse in question was changed by Prophet by citing a revelation by God that indeed Satan himself tricked Muhammad bin Abdullah into saying the verse wrongfully i.e. the original verse told the Meccans that worshiping Al-Lat (female consort of Al-Lah) along with daughters of Al-Lah: Al-Uzza and Mannat was allowed. In Pre-Islamic Arabia i.e. the period of Jahilia, Arabs used to worship many gods. One can find the list online: pre-islamic gods of arabia. Among all the Gods the Supreme God of Quraish tribe that controlled Mecca was Hubal whose designation was Allah which just means The God. However some sources say Allah existed just like Khuda or the one above us..the supreme lord.. the God of Gods in the ancient world. Allah existed before Islam is proved by the name of the father of Islamic Prophet Muhammad that is “Abdullah” which means Abd-Slave of allah-God) The background that why this verse was recited was because after a long debate one day during a congregation of Meccans the Prophet was unable to convince them to stop worshiping their current Gods totalling 365 in number whose idols were inside the Kabbah (inside the kabbah there were other idols too like chief deities of various Arabian tribes ). In the end a middle path was chosen and it was decided that all the other Gods were false except the Supreme God i.e. Al-Lah and his family. It is said that this compromise was sealed by the revelation from God through the arch angle Gibreel which is now known as Satanic Verses. Later Muhammad realized his mistake as it compromises with the monotheistic principles of Islam and thus rectified this Surah with another one i.e. the current one which says it is not permitted to worship these goddesses. Then it was back to square one and Muhammad was continued to be persecuted in Mecca now even with more vigor. Hence he fled with his companions the first few muslims to a place called Yathrib (Islamic Hijri). The chief of Yathrib (Medina) was very accommodating because he owed Muhammad as Muhammad had helped him during an old dispute (Muhammad was a Merchant before he started preaching about Islam and was known to be very honest and commanded respect among many. He was well known due to his travels). Here in Yathrib Muhammad found supporters and Islam survived. Later after a few battles The Prophet finally defeated the Meccans and entered Kabbah. He performed Hajj i.e. “Tawaf” and kissed the Black Stone. He then ordered all the idols to be destroyed except the black stone. Since then all muslims perform hajj the same way Muhammad did. Actually the hajj pilgrimage in ancient arabia was done annually long before Islam came only difference is that earlier it was done in the name of many Gods and now only one God i.e. Allah. Hence the Sura 53-19-20 establishes the fact to muslims that God is one and only veneration of Allah is allowed. This whole episode of changing the Sura is now known as the Gharaniq episode or the Satanic verses incident as it is said Satan tricked the Prophet to recite this verse in public. The historic account of this incident comes from the Islamic sources and authenticated by well reputed Hadith and Biography writers of Muhammad: It is reported in the tafsir and the sira-maghazi literature dating from the first two centuries of Islam, and is reported in the respective tafsīr corpuses transmitted from almost every Qur'anic commentator of note in the first two centuries of the hijra. It seems to have constituted a standard element in the memory of the early Muslim community about the life of Muhammad. “The way you treat the Qur’an will influence the way you understand Qur’an” what a beautiful saying. Yesterday i was crying a lot after watching some channel about islamophobe and reading the comment section about it and i wonder why this people hated islam so much to the point where they interpreted some verse in Qur’an by using google translate. I too my self as 20 yo girl who was born muslim still questioning my knowledge about islam until now. Because i am aware that every verse in the Qur’an there is so much more meaning behind it. I did have that moment too. I learnt religion since I was very young, but I was swayed by Buddhism in my early teenager years. They seemed so peaceful and so different to the behaviour of some muslims in the community. When I was in High School, I severely doubted God and was lingering with Atheism. I still fasted in Ramadhan and performed salah 5 times a day, but they were very empty rituals. But yes, Christianity was never appealing to me. Only when I read a book by a prominent scholar of Indonesia, Prof Quraish Shihab, entitled "Indigenising the Quran" (basically deriving lessons from Quran to answer issues in everyday life), I just realised how beautiful the religion was. I never look back since then, alhamdulillah. I wish in the Day of Judgment I could testify for him, as he helped me discover Islam.

He is also a great mufassir, his tafsir is the main Quran commentary in Indonesia. I really hope that his books can be translated into English in the future.

Most people on the planet haven't read it. Even people who believe in science or even sci-fi, not everyone has read it. But Quran, every Muslim has read it. Yeah, we have similar experiences when I read the Quran and wonder how come I didn't notice this verse was there even if I'd read it so many times before. It seems so unfamiliar that it's been there yet it feels familiar too that it's not new. How come this particular verse strikes me so hard and pierces into my heart when it didn't affect last time I come across it that I didn't even notice it exists.
