Unfortunately not Hatyai, only in Pattani , Yala and Satun most of them can still speak Malay with Pattani/Kelantanese dialect, other Malays in Southern Thailand have lost their language due to assimilation process included Thai Chinese, Khmer etc., they only retain their cultures and beliefs but not the mother tongue as most of them only speak Thai among each other

@@akianhensen156kelantan is also malay, don't spread confusion to them. Do you want me to tell you a history about how malay peninsular split into 2 country? Real border of malay peninsular is located in kra isthmus. Only older generation in southern Thailand still know this history, Thailand although they recognize malay peninsular started in kra isthmus, they still didn't tell the truth to their own people that Bangkok treaty 1909 already void and southern Thailand should be return to malay people. There's a reason why tak sinshinawat sending soldier to Southern Thai in the event of genocide (peristiwa Tak Bai) back in 2004 There's also malay village in tannaserim, Myanmar because that land is also belong to malay under kedah rules

Assalamualaikum Hi My name is Alawi, I'm Muslim live in Bangkok Thailand. First of all, I had watched many of your previous videos but I never thought you are actually come to Thailand therefore, Welcome to Thailand Thailand have a lot of Muslim living within this country according to some official statistics there are more than 7 Millions Muslim in Thailand and more than 4,000 Mosque throughout the country Muslim in Thailand are from various background and ethinicity but the largest group is Malay Muslim who Usually live in Patani(Pattani in Thai Formal language), Yala, Narathiwat and some parts of Songkla(Hat yai that you guys had reside now is one parts of Songkla Province) and some of them are descendant from the Malay people or to be precise from Sultanate of Patani(former Islamic Kingdom that are now parts of Thailand after it was annex by Siam Kingdom and one part of Malaysia(Kelantan)) who reside in Bangkok such as me(I can't speak Malayu Language now because of Assimilation process due to Thailand National Policy in some of Nationalist Goverment) some of them are Chinese descendant who migrate from mainland China during the civil wars between KMT and Communist party but they usually reside in the Northern Part of Thailand such as Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai etc. therefore, If you have an opportunity to travel to the Northern part of Thailand(ืnot now because of flooding) you will see that Muslim who live in that part are much more different from Muslim who live in Southern parts of Thailand. they are also some Muslim who have Pashtun,Pathan,Cham ิ and much more various backgrounds I can't tell all of them Anyways, what I want to say is that if you come to Bangkok and you need someone to guide you around the city to see how the life of Muslim in Bangkok look like feel free to contact me if i'm available I will definitely come to your guys

Siammese is not malay, Thai calling malay who are still Buddhist as Sam Sam, never Siammese. Siammese used to be under malay rule and some of them became muslim and intermarriage with malay, you can see with their name. Malay never use Siammese name in any part of history. Siammese is referring to citizen of siam Kingdom although siam got their name from Cambodian angkor watt record who called sawo matang people as siam. What historian can conclude is siam refer to 12 kingdom. That name siam is from Khmer origin for sawo matang. Modern historian discover that a kingdom called tambralingga fell after their king never got offspring and Siammese prime minister became a king. Since then this kingdom is called Siammese kingdom and later they migrate to ayuthaya after pattani replacing tambralingga. That prime minister is not malay but orang asli sakai who also share same blood Mon-Khmer race Confusion arise with malay record such as sulalatus salatin when the writer assumed Siammese exist long before, writer actually can't differentiate fraction of srivijayan empire located in Northern part of malay peninsular (ligor kingdom) later changed into tambralingga. If you read kelantan record, all of kingdom in siam is actually malay but half of them is still Buddhist back then. There's empire after empire name rebrand after sukhothai king attacking malay border located in kra isthmus. Name of empire from jawaka to melayu but kedah called them ligor, Meanwhile pattani and kelantan never called them ligor but they called it as langkasuka. So historian conclude that the most northern empire is Ligor by kedah Langkasuka by kelantan and pattani Tambralingga by foreigner I still laughing reading soma oritental by tome pires when he stated temasik used to be under siammese rule. Thats so wrong because at that era, srivijaya empire are the one who rule temasik. Srivijayan empire is malay but siammese still practising old malay culture because malay became muslim and malacca renew malay culture into what we knew today. Parameswara is descendant of Demang Lebar daun, Demang Lebar daun is the last srivijaya emperor. Demang Lebar daun sankrit name is trailokyaraja maulibhusanawarma dewa. After he bring his grandchild to temasik and rename it to Singapore, he goes to North malay peninsular to help his son who is king of jawaka empire to fight against sukhothai kingdom, after jawaka empire fell, malay retreat from petchaburi to kra isthmus and open a new kingdom called melayu. Don't confuse with melayu kingdom in sumatra which is different era
