This performance by Sydnie is charged, I would say, with all the emotion of a long-held personal dream repeatedly thwarted by setback and disappointment. It is an enthralling performance that evokes tears and tingles no matter how many times I watch and listen. Thank you so much for discovering Sydnie’s unique performance and for reacting so enthusiastically to it. 🥲👏

It felt like she was singing about her life, not just a number from a musical. Anyone who didn't fall in love with Sydnie has a harder heart than I do.

Excellent reaction! Her next two songs are just as, if not even more, impressive as Tomorrow. Her version of My Way is mind blowing and her cover of Over the Rainbow locks her in as one of the greatest singers of this generation.

Thank you for reacting to this, she has quickly become one of my favorites. Make sure you catch her semi-final and finals performances as well. Her rendition of "MY WAY" will blow your mind.

My reaction is much like yours. It was grown up. It’s not tomorrow is “just a day away”. It’s that tomorrow is always a day away! Big difference. We all have tomorrow to look forward to. Enjoy it!

Sydnie calls changing a song “putting her own kiss on it.” She is a generational singer. She is magic.

We can tell this is your first time hearing this by the way you reacted to her dropping your soul back down into your body on that last shift from power to the soft finish....when she sings she transports the listener to another place and it's a beautiful place to find yourself....how she isn't already a huge star is baffling to me...that away at the end was like an "amen"....Karl from eastern Canada👍👍👍

She is so amazing the way she sings and brings the emotion of the song out. Have to see her other two performances. Believe it or not she even did better

Your comments are brilliant and you saying the song has "grown up" is totally accurate. She has the voice, the looks and thanks to "let's ave it" even her own catchphrase and I wish that she gets all that she deserves!

Following her career, and will buy her album when it comes out. I'm at least following her career on the uploads to Spotify. Yes she has previous experience to this performance. Like Starlight Express and cruise ships. There's been so much critical comments on this that it annoys me. She never truly had the break she needed from her previous performances. I am one of the people that believe shows like this should give people that break. Haters will always be haters. She said her version of the song is taken from a version of Marisha Wallace and not her own. Who gives a damn. For me I think she's simply fantastic ❤.

Of all the disciplines of the art of music, dynamics is number one in effecting the emotions of the listeners. This artist seems to know this. And importantly, knows exactly how to execute it.

Thanks for reacting to Sydnie, she is a special person and talent! Please react to Angelina Jordan, she has been singing in a microphone since age 18 months, won Norway's Got Talent at age 8, got a golden buzzer on America's Got Talent The Champions in 2020 at age 13, and Headlined her own show in Las Vegas this year at age 18! All her theatre experience has paid off l. Those years of performing on and off prepared her for this. Now there is nothing stopping her from her dreams. Can't wait to see what she does next. This rendition was from Marisha Wallace she song this for a fund raiser during covid. Obviously made it her own. She gave credit to her in an interview. It's identical just sing differently by Sydnie which was 🔥

It is grown up, but in a different manner than most reactors and commenters seem to see it. Notice the change from "only" in the original to "always" in Sydnie's version. Notice further how her delivery changes in the last stanza; up to that point, the song could still be viewed as a paean to optimism, even with "always" in there. But her facial expression drops, her volume drops, her posture changes, and the final phrase and pause confirms the negativity of the message. If you know her backstory, then the negativity is quite understandable, as she has been auditioning for many years with very limited success in the musical theater, rejection after rejection. She even tried BGT several earlier times, but backed out because she has admitted low self-esteem issues. BGT this time was her last ditch effort to have a musical career, and she doesn't have much faith in BGT either. Then notice her reaction at the end of Tomorrow to the audience's enthusiasm, so completely surprised, and to the Golden Buzzer, physically shocked. So why no success in musical theater? Because no one ever heard HER voice--the musical director, director, producers heard what they predetermined they wanted for the character she was auditioning for. In fact, even in Tomorrow, she is somewhat restrained, still not trusting full the audience and judges. However, in My Way, she bursts forth with HER full voice, so melodic and powerful, and I hope this voice will continue to be exhibited on the concert stage, where she belongs with Celine, Barbra, Elvis..., never to return to musical theater.

Sydnie doesn't sing a song - she becomes the song and the song becomes her. They become one unit. That's why her performances feel so personal.

You can expect Sydnie to sing a lot of old songs that she believes are being left behind. She will put her own”kiss” on all the songs but she said that’s what she’d like to do.

Now I'm telling you that Sydnie will be returning to the USA for a show at New York's Sony Hall on 8 April!
