First of all, thank you for your unbroken playback of the artist's performance. Very rare. When Sydnie took the stage, she had me. Her effervescent personality, the humorous banter with the judges. But, when the music began she was all serious - in a great way. Her facial moves, her clarity and the range of her voice was breathtaking! Then, she got the comments and responded appropriately...then, the golden buzzer. I thought, for a second, we had lost her when she went down. She turned into a child in a candy store, or a child who just received a pony. Unbelievable raw and unpretentious reaction. The irony was the buffer music was Loren Allred singing "Over The Rainbow," which is the version Sydnie chose for her finale. I suppose you know the outcome of the show. She earned and deserved all the comments offered, and then some. Beautiful!

For the first time in my life, I completely understand the meaning and the story behind this song. Sydnie's singing brings out the pathos and emotion of the story in the words from Annie - the loneliness and sadness always waiting/hoping for a better day tomorrow. I found it impossible to be detached from her singing and was completely caught up in her expression of this heartfelt interpretation that so beautifully captures its meaning.

@AlanHope20132 ай бұрын
@@heatherlea6825 Of course the next two performances will have been heavily affected bythe coaching she got after this audition, from BGT and others, grooming her for greater things. This original audition is Sydnie at her most natural, and all the vocal coaches in the world will only take away from that, trying to put their own stamp on her. But it was Sydnie alone who scored a golden buzzer, and she alone deserves all the credit. Dounia here, herself a vocal coach, had to wipe away a tear during the original, and that tells me all I need to know.

Thank you for sharing your delight with Sydnie Christmas now you've found out about her audition: she certainly had vocal training for the next song, "My Way," with the coach who worked with her at the BGT. She said, on the breakfast TV afterwards (that is also on youtube, still), that her vocal studies after high school were perfected by this coach. This tune Sydnie adapted very well from the cover of Marisha Wallace, from 4 years ago during the lockdown, in London: Marisha is now also a fan of Sydnie. The background "Over the Rainbow" during the applause in this video, is by Loren Allred, of "Never Enough": Loren had to persuade Sydnie, with a video message, to adapt this cover for her own song in the BGT final. Afterwards, Loren called it "our" song. For ten years Sydnie had been trying to find work in London's West End, without any luck, though she did find a bit of other work, abroad. This BGT was her last try to establish her career. Please look at her other two songs as soon as you can!
Loved how you just listened and watched the intire show, then your reaction... Best ever ... please do her version of My Way and Over the Rainbow!! Thank you! I never get tired listening to Sydnie everyday..A huge fan of Sydnie and now you too!❤

As an aging singer and still not getting my break, it is refreshing to see that there are people out there with a talent that can overcome even the staunchest (Simon) of critics. This performance was one of the best I have ever seen doing this particular song. She made it hers and when she went up high there towards the end her voice was crisp and her clarity was amazing. If anyone has ever deserved a golden buzzer it was Syndie. I hope that I can get a look at her performance at the Royal Variety. Her versions of My Way and Somewhere Over the Rainbow were even better than this performance and she reaslly did stand head and shoulders above the rest of those who made it into the final round.

Your the first one to notice that. I kept thinking the same thing and wondered why they didn't point this out upon review of song. I like that she changes up her songs to fit her style and always positive. For example where it says "it's only a day away"to it's always a day away. Also in her semi-final I guess it is a Frank Sinatra She turned it from him to her. So while she uses songs she puts a twist to them to actually own them, I thought that was very clever to do when I heard it in My Way. I had gone back to listen to this performance once again and I noticed about how she says it's always a day away. I've not yet seen anybody incorporate that into their performances not once but twice but three times. She raps to. She has a homemade video doing it.

I too really enjoy Sydney. But im glad someone mentioned Angelina Jordan. If you havent heard her, you need to, because she will be a household name in the not to distant future. She won Norways Got Talent at 8 y.o., gathering 46% of the vote for 10 finalists. To knock your socks off, watch her I put A Spell on You, at 9 y.o., the black and white version only. Then there are 200 other MASTERPIECES, no lie, on her channel or youtube, including her newest Bad Valentine, which hasn't been officially released yet, on yt, where she's 18, where she displays the power you would never expect from one so young. In between ages 7 and 18, watch her literally grow up with a selection of hers i recommend: Feeling Good at 10y.o., at an inside concert, its a mans world, at 12 I believe , with full orchestra, Her own Million Miles, which she wrote after losing her grandpa, her own version of Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT the Champions, at 13y.o., where Queen members were so impressed they gave her the copyright! Others include Unchained Melody, at the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize concert, at 17y.o. far more moving than the popular version, and You Say, which is in my top 5 of her songs, sung at an online christmas concert, at 15 where she was backed by some of the most celebrated musicians in the business. And those are just the beginning of a once in a lifetime artist! Her fans she calls Angels, and she has millions, many of whom will flock to your channel if you begin to react to her. They are extremely loyal! One final thought: one reason she is so well loved is because she treats each song as a unique experience to share with her audience. She never belts just for the sake of it. She tells the story of the song in a manner befitting the overall meaning and intent of the composer. That is never better shown than in her treatment at 12, of California Dreaming, with just a guitar accompanying her. You get to hear and FEEL the true meaning of the song. And i LOVED the original version, but this was genius, as she very frequently exhibits in most of her covers, which IMPROVE on the originals. She sings all genres, except opera. I like your style, and dubbed.
