Dave wrote the Mechanix, in fact if you listen the demo album “No life ‘till leather” before Kill ‘Em All, the Mechanix is there, when Dave got fired from Metallica he forbidden them to use his music but James and Lars didn’t care so they just “adjust” it a little and when Kill ‘Em All came out Dave was fuming seeing that they used his music so forming his own band (Megadeth) dave used the original songs he wrote but sped the tempo up because Megadeth does not sound anything like Metallica even if Dave could make it if he wanted. That’s 1/1000 of the entire history between Dave, Metallica and Megadeth vs Metallica rivalry that went on for decades.

Peace sells and wake up dead are my favorite Megadeth songs. My suggestion for the next video is: Wake up dead which has the best lyrics ever hahahah, In my darkest hour which is a song that according to Dave Mustaine, the instrumental of this song was created with the feeling he was feeling at the time that Cliff Burton died, but the lyrics are dedicated to Dave's ex-fiancée Diana(Her name is mentioned in the song wake up dead) and Symphony of destruction, because whoever is a Megadeth fan has to know their main song.

The version of Tornado of Souls you listened to was a remastered version from the 2000s that generally makes Dave's vocals sound really bad. Also the instruments sound even better on the original. Most of the time I don't say remasters matter all that much (as far as if your first listening is remastered or original) but in the case of Megadeth these are really bad. When you do listen to more Megadeth, and especially Rust in Peace, try and make sure it's the original and not remastered; that's my advice. Also Dave's voice in general is usually the sticky point for people getting into Megadeth, so don't feel too discouraged. Love the channel :) For next from them, I recommend Holy Wars... The "Rust in Peace" era lineup of Megadeth is the best one IMO! I love the way that Dave and Marty would trade back and forth doing solos. @@chimpinaneckbrace I'm not saying that at random. It's based on how she reacted to the various bands, including even SOAD. Screamed lyrics don't look to be too much of her thing. They can be an acquired taste. or just be off-putting to some people. She said, in her first reaction video that she had an image of metal based on some death she had heard long ago, and that it wasn't really her thing. It might have changed, but it's better to go progressively. It would be too bad if she were to miss out on the whole genre just because she wasn't yet at the point of appreciating that. You gotta listen to Holy Wars, Good Mourning and In My Darkest Hour. The drums from Nick Menz (drummer of rust in peace) are also of a very high level - perhaps Tornado of Souls is not the best song to showcase his drums, try Rust in Peace - Polaris from the same album. You may also have thought the vocals were a tad odd in tornado of souls because you listened to the 2004 remixes rather than the originals, with the 2004 mixes considered to be worse, with vocal tracks for some songs even being rerecorded. It can make a surprisingly big difference. Glad you're enjoying megadeth. :))

Rust In Peace is a G.O.A.T. album. Virtually every track on it is worth a reaction video, especially Holy Wars (watch the music video!), Five Magics, and the title track. Nick Menza is the drummer who took over after Garr, and I promise you will love him, the dude is an absolutely freakshow on the kit.

They're one of my favorite bands. I really liked the way you reacted to them, I've never seen that much energy in a reaction. If you return, I'd recommend "Looking Down the Cross," "My Last Words" and "Victory." It was sad that Gar was kicked, but he was selling the band's gear for drug money. And I'll agree that Dave isn't a great singer, I can't think of anyone else who replace him for vocalist.

Rust in peace, as a whole album, is fantastic. Marty Friedman is a spectacular guitarist. The older albums are fun as well, I particularly like Peace Sells. Countdown to Extinction is another solid choice, but that is more 90s...then again, though, the 90s was where Megadeth really shined.

On your question about how fast the drummer is, that is because they use double strokes. Basically each time he swings a stick or kicks the pedal he lets it rebound a second time basically doubling the speed that he can accomplish with one motion.

I second Skid Row but I wouldn't throw them into the glam category. I think there's much more to them, their songs and their attitude than the glam cliches. I've always seen them as more of a traditional metal band that just coincided with the hair/glam wave edit: and indeed had glorious hair
