Love this song so much, it's the gradual build up of the music that also builds up with the pure seething venom in his voice that aligns with the lyrics telling the story of a man who lost his familly and his home to a corrupt man, and with nothing to lose came back for vengance. "you haven't met me, I am the only son.." Beautiful song.

No man, you have to listen to the words. Look at the lyrics. Also, check out any videos of them performing this song live. I love this song so much. Here is a bit about the reason behind the song. Marcus said that after high school, he went to Hong Kong, where he lived for a while and worked amongst the community with people who were heroin addicts, sex workers and ex Triad gang members. People he described as "noble and inclusive but also so troubled and desperate, abused and taken advantage of by the powerful" and how "Steinbeck depictures of communities" of such things resonated in his mind. From that, shortly after he came back from Hong Kong, him and Ben(band member on piano) discussed his experience and that's how they wrote their first song together, "Dust Bowl Dance."
