Because that's what the song is about young men going into the army being used to fight the wars too many puppies get it puppies being shot in the dark this song was written during the Gulf War in the 90s or written about the Gulf War that's what inspired the song so that's why you get the marching vibe

I’m a big fan of Primus! They have so many funky tunes, such a unique sound I can’t tell you if they were on psychedelics when they made the music, but I CAN tell you it’s a treat to listen them while on psychedelics ;)

I know this song was written right after it was a statement only young people that join the military right out of high school they're just kids and they're being sent off to the Middle East the fight over oil that was the argument I'm not condemning or condoning it just giving you the facts I remember when the s*** came out I was a huge Primus fan starting with the album suck on this in 89 I think it was. See that's how those retarded ass rumors about songs that turned out to not be true that everybody believes it went from the song was written in sort of protest to the Gulf War II it predicted the Gulf War for fucksake

Whats to think about power trios are a dime a dozen promise utilizing 1/6 string fretless bass as a lead bass player instead of lead guitar player driving the music and his quirky way of singing is why Primus is so unique nobody had done that before nobody had reverse those roles for the band in the Forefront like that nobody played the bass like that to carry the band now there were other bass players that are really good but they weren't doing what less does it makes the music sound way more powerful because the base is not just in the back with the drums keeping time and adding a little bottom in it's up up front in your face slapping and tapping in rumblin the speakers while Larry Lalonde can just accompany and focus on a lot of his effects pedals to get all those other crazy wacky noises you hear Primus or genius they are extremely intelligent f****** musicians do you have conjured this concept up there is no band whatsoever that has even tried to mimic there's this style this is a one in a bazillion band. Nothing about Primus why they're so unique and automatically love them the sound is different weird but good weird it's different but good with different the songs can be funny as hell the way less sings is funny I mean promise it's just a good f****** time
