Vessel’s choice of leaving his breath in- Chokehold ends with a big intake of breath. But breath sounds go back to T Rex’s Bang a Gong. As a girl I can tell you that was amazing! I also see his choices as a way of showing he’s a human being and that he’s not technology.

You'll quickly learn Vessel likes listeners to feel what he's feeling as he's singing, and by including his deep breaths and sighs, you're better able to understand his emotions. Like when you're frustrated and let out a deep sigh, or you're trying to compose yourself and inhale deeply.

That's what initially pulled me in to their music! Usually singers have those editted out but Vessel keeps them in. Very deliberate/purposeful and adds another layer to the songs.

The stringed instrument is a guitar with tons on reverb, guitar is being picked/plucked at the bridge.

You're very perceptive sir 😅. You are on the right track....👍. It's definitely a tumultuous relationship he's in. And he puts his feelings to music in a way we can tell how he's feeling are the chords he uses, the rhythm he puts those chords in and the inflection of his voice. He's so gifted to know how to convey how he's feeling through stylistic diversity in not just music but the lyrics and tempo he adds that make certain parts of songs more emphatic than others. Can't wait for Calcutta 😂 one of ny faves on their EPs. I actually like TWO better than ONE 😅. But i like ALL of Vessel's songs, covers too 😂. He's just phenomenal really. Til next time ✌️ Worship ❤

Absolutely - I think he got the gist pretty spot on. It's definitely a to be continued into Two when he embraces the darkness more.

@@earthscorcher totally agree. He accepts the darkness to help him cope with the toxic relationship. But the darkness doesn't stay....it ebbs and flows, just as his feelings do 🥹

What a great reaction ❤I instantly subscribed. You pause just right and show your enthusiasm and expertise for music. Great! Obviously you started with the 'right' song, even if "Different" is not the typical start for a newbie 😆 So you might want to find out more by listening to other special songs? Most Madiacs will recommend live versions of their songs ... and for a good reasons: 1. Band Maid often add extra spice to their songs through musical variations on the one hand and through their stage presence on the other. 2. The harmonies and backing vocals by Miku are way better mixed than in the studio versions (don't know why) 3. Overall the official live videos have very good audio quality. Recommendations for a next song are always difficult since they have so many great songs. I would recommend "Manners, Blackhole" but I think that's something for later 😀First of all you should checkout some more regular sons by them. So get a D6 dice and choose one of the following songs 😆 1. "Play" (live) 2. "Puzzle" (live) 3. "Domination" (live) 4. "Bubble" (MV) 5. "Influencer" (MV) 6. "Corallium" (live)

I love the string section in this song and hope that one day, they try out more orchestral instruments again. And not sure if this is the right place to put a recommendation but if you'd like some more genre-bending music artistry, Raye's new song 'Genesis' is so good!

It pronounced bow( like take a bow) Your reaction to ST makes me so happy. You appreciate everything from the music to the lyrics. All the songs are a journey through this relationship. This Place Will Become Your Tomb is my favorite album they’ve done. Here’s a band for you to dive into Falling in Reverse

the part you think is piano, is actually just guitar with a organ tone. if you listen closely, you can hear the picking, and his fingers sliding down the strings

The lower registry "don't lie to me" layer is everything in this song

This song is about a relationship beginning to fall apart, but the partner thinks the way to solve the relationship is by pretending nothing is wrong.

Yes, the active breathing of STs music is HUGE to me, drumming included (no jamming millions of notes into a pattern -- the pattern suits the music, but is unique all on its own.) The sounds of emotion (sighs, exhales, pauses, deep inflections, a breath taken after crying, the breath taken when angry, the huffing when frustrated) -- add the layers of his voice in different ranges, his mastery of the guitar, and piano, keyboard -- Vessel is the epitome of music! The power of the appropriate drama in these tracks is so captivating, unpredictable, and EMOTIONAL! I am a fan of ST for life! Great breakdown of the track!

Sleep Token, Band-maid, Babymetal, and Tool always bring the views, especially when it's someone who appreciates the hell out of the music!
