Man I wasn’t even alive at that time and this song makes me nostalgic. I had my emo phase wayyy early, at like age 8. 😂 I still acknowledge now at 14 this is an amazing song

I agree this album absolutely rocked and it is great for mental health.

I think this was his prime of addiction If I remember correctly this song was about using drugs and how it hates it and loves it at the same time
@ChrisTopher-ek6rr2 жыл бұрын
The video & lyrics suggest it's about a relationship with a person. Drugs can't love or hate you back... I think you're basing that an the fan lore & quotes put on websites that try to glorify the song as being some sorta complex metaphor.

@@ChrisTopher-ek6rr Bro, Music can be interpreted in whatever way the listener chooses. You telling me you think Hotel California is about an actual Hotel?
@Derr1ck_yt2 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisTopher-ek6rrthe original comment is correct, it’s pretty well known knowledge among old TDG fans that a majority of his songs like this aren’t even about women but his drug addiction.
@ChrisTopher-ek6rr2 жыл бұрын
@@Derr1ck_yt as I said, the lyrics don't make sense if it's about drugs & the video doesn't portray that at all.
@stephenwhite3516 Жыл бұрын
@Chris Topher the way it was made was for people to relate to it. So it could be about drugs alcohol and a hole lot more, but for the writer, it was about his drug addiction and how he hated it

I've seen Three days grace in concerts since they started playing. I've seen both singers. And they both are excellent.

I love that he flips the script. The entire song he's talking about not loving her. But in the end we learn that she didnt love him either. Heartbreaking

It's about drugs, not a woman. He hates everything about a certain drug, but still felt the urge to use

I'm glad more colored folk are getting into rock and metal, I grew up in mostly black schools and always got grief for my "white boy" music. Glad those racial music barriers are dropping. Bad wolves, fire from the gods, killswitch engage. Great bands with colored folk rocking it hard af. Please let's keep this trend going, all music should be for all people who wanna listen!

That’s so stupid, music isn’t about color. That’s the good thing from it. Keep rocking man, who cares what others say.

for those that don't know this song is an externalization of Adam's (the lead singer of three days grace) struggle with addiction and abuse. the lyrics acting as a self recrimination of him self.
