I always say that if I was given a choice to only listen one album for the rest of my life, this would be the album I choose. Ridin' Dirty is a moniker that I use for email addresses, PS4 tags, vanity license plates, etc. Needless to say, I'm a fiend for this shit.

U crazy if u never listened to UGK before. Bun B and Pimp C got so many good songs together. Here's some of their best songs u should listen to. Diamonds and Wood, One Day, Gravy, Front Back & Side 2 Side, Hi-Life, Pocket Full Of Stones, Da Game Belongs To Me, Swishas and Dosha, Quit Hatin Tha South, Choppin Blades, Something Good, Let Me See It, Da Game Been Good To Me, I Left It Wet For U, Protect & Serve. Those are my favorite UGK songs. They each have multiple solo albums as well but my favorite from each is Bun B Trill (2005) and Pimp C Pimpalation (2006). They're both worth listening to.

@@darrenraphael Correction. 50 Cent wasn’t the first NY rapper to work with UGK. Neither was Jay Z. Lord Jamar from Brand Nubian and Keith Murray work with UGK on the Don’t Be A Menace soundtrack on the song “Live Wires Connect” back in 1996. The song plays in the beginning of the movie. I don’t think 50 knew who they were back then because they came out in 1992 plus Jive Records didn’t promote and put UGK’s music in stores in NY/east coast region. They only were promoted in the south, midwest and some parts of the west coast. People in NY didn’t know about them until 1998-1999. Trust me. Im from their hometown and I went to college with people from the east coast area and they never heard of them until Jay Z song Big Pimpin.

Love watching the younger reactors react to that classic southern stuff. UGK is one that the younger gen either never got to hear about or the music was considered too violent for them at the time. Look into Nappy Roots as well, though they typically don't talk about gangster shit. More about small town and good vibes. But EVERYONE knows "Good Day". But they're worth checking out and sometimes get slept on because they don't typically talk about things they don't know about.
