I had known about the term "Plunking" for years but had never done it. I love throwing spinners and jigging baits for fishing but plunking is a methodical way of fishing which I don't gravitate to. Is it worth with? Come and join me on this beautiful setting and see for yourself.

Dang it! Somehow I missed this season. I'm wondering if there's a way to get in touch to show you another way to rig.

Appreciate it. Please explain, I'd be curious to know. I know the cheapest is with 3 way swivel and railroad spikes. LOL

@@BackFishing About 12 years ago I was fishing for salmon below Bonneville and met a couple of 80 year old brothers. They showed me a way to make a spreader that lets the RR spike slip off if you get hung up , but also keeps your leader away from the RR spike dropper line. It's easy to make but kinda hard to explain how to use it. I should probably make a video. If I can figure out how to send you a private message, maybe we could meet up and I'll show you. I'm currently without a way to film hands-free to demonstrate.

Can you tell me if you saw anyone doing the same thing on the Washington side? I hold a WA fishing license. Never done plunking for Salmon before. Starting buying my gear specifically for this style and wanna be geared up and ready for the 2022 season. I live about a 3hr drive away from the Columbia and would love to do this. I dont know when to come down etc etc. Hopefully you can help me out. Thank you in advance...Aloha & Mahalo

How tight or loose should the drag be when ur just waiting for the fish to bite the hook
@BackFishing
@BackFishing Ай бұрын
Just enough were the fish does not snap your line but tight enough so when you go to set the hook the drag stays put. Hope that answers your question.

I've fished with Don a few times and we do our part to pick up 100 yds of loose line and garbage on the river bank. This guy is a good fisherman and does his share of cleaning up. Tag ends were your concern during the tutorial? Really? ✌✌
