All of the characters in these videos are Yoongi. imo, they are phases of his personal growth. in Daechwita, he was young, cocky and immature (the evil king). this is when his scar was fresh and new. the young yoongi prevails in the end. in haegeum, the cop/mob boss yoongi is what the younger yoongi from Daechwita grown up. you can see his scar but it's faded, healing. the thief yoongi is him now, fighting against his greedy/powerful side. in the end he wins again. this time, he has no scar, so it shows he's fully healed and doesn't have to fight himself anymore. now he's just himself and is finally at peace. Amygdala is the origin story to these two mvs, if you're interested, but be careful. it's a hard watch. 💜💜

Did you notice in Daechwita that it rhymed in Korean and English at the same time? Just a little thing Suga does. In Haegum he uses words that sound just like his name...Min Yoongi. Korean seems to be a great language for poetic expression.

​@@MasterGo89 as of today 29 Aug, so far all 6 members of BTS (including Suga himself haha) has attended his Suchwita talk show, only left V who has not appear in the talk show yet and my personal guess is V would be in September, after the release of his album (I really really hope so!). Suga has planned the screening of the BTS members' interviews to be somewhat in line with their solo activities so that his members get the exposure and most importantly for their Armies to watch as they are getting the frustrating days of without BTS :( their bond is so strong and its really amazing. I am glad that you watched these three videos together, and will be watching Amygdala. Daechwita, Haegeum, and Amygdala are a trilogy. I think it is important to see Agust D before the trilogy. It is a good introduction to Agust D (his fire and anger). It also explains the blond king in Daechwita. Hopefully you noticed the scar on both characters in Daechwita and on the police character in Haegeum. If you are not familiar with Jungian psychology, I suggest googling it. BTS' Wings era and Map of the Soul era deep dives into Jungian concepts. I see a lot of Jungian influence in Suga/Agust D's trilogy and his concert.

Oh this man❤️💜 this is why Yoongi is my bias wrecker from day one !!!!! He's always just so savage... And I love the part where he talks about " how he made it too easy" or we should be thankful he's an Idol, because if he wasn't he would be mopping the floor with his competition.. Daechwita (day chi ta) there's lots of historical references and I believe he paid the costs himself for this MV. You're correct this one is about the struggle between BTS king suga and humble peasant Yoongi.. Haegeum is a double play on words..a Haegeum is a traditional 2 strong Korean instrument and it also means to free that which is forbidden, one of those things is kpop idols smoking.. You can hear the Haegeum playing in the background. I absolutely love the meaning of the lyricism in this track💜💜💜💜 in the MV Daechwita he shoots the king but you don't see him ??? In the Haegeum MV you see him actually shoot...

About the clip Agust D - Daechwita, there the text with locations can be compared, where he looks like a poor man, a story about the past, then where he is in the image of a king - the take-off time "I'm the king, I'm the boss". And where in the image of an ordinary person on a wheelbarrow with people is he ordinary, real, down to earth in general, such as he is. He kills at the end of the king, he did this for himself, to remind himself who he is. Like, be more down to earth, don't catch a star, he says to himself. Let’s break down the plot of both stories first. Daechwita: there are 2 characters, a king and a man of the people (hereinafter referred to as a commoner). The mad king rules cruelly and the commoner is about to overthrow him. He is brought to be executed by the king for disobedience, but he does not know that the commoner has conspired with his executioners. The commoner shoots the king, but it is not known if the bullet hit him. Haegeum: The story of a criminal and a detective. The criminal steals the detective's money and he intends to take it. He tracks him down for murder and theft, and when they meet, the criminal burns all the money. The detective takes him prisoner and gives the signal for his execution, but instead the criminal pulls out a gun and shoots him.

So, the king is a wrathful conqueror, and he has earned his throne by "chopping off the heads" of his enemies, whom he has defeated in order to claim it. In his live, Yoongi confirmed that the king represents anger. He also reveals that the black-haired Agust Di, a commoner, represents the other side of him, but he will only reveal it in the next part, Haegeum. BUT an interesting feature - one of the characters is missing a scar. So, if we imagine that the mad king was still killed and the commoner (who has black hair) remained, then it is he who turns into the main villain of the new part, into the DETECTIVE ??? The COMMON/DETECTIVE now becomes the analogue of the KING: he rules his kingdom (the police) in the same way: he is ruthless, corrupt and ambitious, he brutally cracks down on those who go against him. Does it look like a cycle? The commoner overthrows the king, going against his follies, but seizing power himself becomes corrupt, so now you need to overthrow him and the same criminal appears. But in the end, the criminal burns all the money, giving up wealth. He didn't do it for profit? A criminal without a scar turns away from greed and then kills a corrupt policeman, just like a commoner killed a king.

Evil is defeated, selfishness and greed have lost again, the balance has been restored. The criminal is now alone, he is free.. BUT???? LAST SCENE???? LAST HAEGUM SCENE WHERE YOOGI COMES TO EAT Noodles?? This shot is very important, because when the criminal looks up at the camera, his hair falls over his face in the exact eye where the other characters had a scar AND DOES NOT HE REMINDER SOMEONE? As if this "evil" could move into him after the murder of the detective. As if the criminal is destined for the same fate as the commoner before him: to become a detective / king, but in a new guise. Yoongi uses these four characters to explore this cyclic struggle with human vices (lust for power, anger, etc.), perhaps even as a commitment to constantly strive for freedom from them. The more I think about it, the more I notice how gradually the scar becomes less noticeable KING > COMMON > DETECTIVE. The cycle continues, the commoner kills the king, the criminal kills the detective, and the less visible the scar, the less intense the anger? This is an ongoing battle of yourself with yourself, but despite the fact that (even if) the criminal is destined for the fate of the detective and the king in the end, he still won in something. In other words, even if it's a continuous cycle of dealing with the vices that hold us hostage, each time it becomes easier for us to cope with them. And while we can never defeat them forever, can there be significant progress in this cycle?”

“I think Agust D was laughing at Yoongi when he pointed a gun at him because he knows that he will never really die and the cycle will eventually continue again. he's a part of yoongi, you can never get rid of him, and I think that's why the scar in the second photo [album spoiler] looks fresher. this is also related to snooze's lyric: "if you can't crush others, then you will die. this is not a ring, so why should I kill someone? (If I can't kill others, then I must die)" because this cycle repeats itself in real life. I remind you that yoongi in the "thank you" in the album said: "..but when tons of words and emotions reappear, then agust de will come back again"

Just a few tidbits from Daechwita mv ::: The era portrayed in Daechwita was the Josean Era founded by Yi Seong-gye in July 1392 and replaced by the Korean Empire in October 1897. Daechwita was filmed in a famous and well-preserved historically-themed location called the Dae Jang Geum Park. The gun is a Colt m1860 “Army”, used during the American Civil War. It's another shoutout to ARMY's support... The car Suga is riding in is the first model of the Hyundai Grandeur Azera, manufactured from 1986 to 1992. BTS has been brand ambassador for Hyundai for several years. (See their Iconic MV.. good songs/MV that features the new Iconic) The same car is repainted and used in "That That" songs/MV Psy and Suga do together. Suga wrote & produced it, as well as performing in it. There are lots of imagery in the visuals and lyrics in "Daechwita" that links to AgustD's self-titled "August D" songs/MV and his "Interlude: Shadow".

Daechwita is a traditional Korean march, played for political events at the time of kings, army or king movements, etc. The two characters are Suga Rei and Sugar from the lower class. Ruler Suga is a tyrant who kills people who have grievances or are considered opponents. Suga from the lower class, appears at the fair with six friends (BTS mention) and there is also a woman sitting in the tent, who gives him the car keys (Army mention). Poor Sugar starts the revolution by going with the car to face the tyrant Suga. We also see the drawing of Bang Si-hyuk, ('creator' of BTS), at the moment that poor Suga arrives by car to face the tyrant king. He challenges the system. King Suga arrests and sentences poor Suga to death. And he, bound and kneeling, continues singing Daechwita (Daechwita being a song that is sung when the king is present. Is the poor Suga the true king?). The people who were prostrate in the courtyard now agree with poor Suga, all nodding to the sound of Daechwita. Finally, the executioner who was supposed to kill poor Suga also joins the revolt, frees him and gives him a weapon, with which he kills the tyrant king. Metaphor: the lower class 'overthrowing the system', mentions BTS that started as a small group, discriminated against, from a small bankrupt company, which was despised and disdained, but which ended up becoming the biggest Korean group in kpop, true kings about the game. At the time of the dynasties there was a strong separation between social classes and slaves were considered nothing. The poor would never become part of the elite. Today BTS is the elite, but it was a difficult achievement, with a lot of 'blood, sweat and tears'. And who gave them the 'key' to start the revolution was the Army. I COULD HAVE gone to the LA concerts, but my anxiety and depression were really bad, at the time, so I opted out. I watched pretty much every single performance, via live stream. It was overwhelming, so I can only imagine how much I'd have enjoyed it, live. Everyone I know that went is STILL recovering from the post-concert depression.

Before you react ti Amygdala, I’ve got to give you some context to it so that you can understand the mv. Yoongi got into car accident during BTS’ predebut days when he took a parttime job as a delivery man. He suffered a serious shoulder injury from. Despite going through surgery, the shoulder injury was still not recovered after many years, and would act us seriously during BTS’ promotions from time to time. Armys will see yoongi holding his mic the hand he normally doesnt use, and also see his expression of pain while doing dance moves during certain stages. This accident had been traumatising for yoongi and its pain lasted throughout his years as an artist. The song Amygdala shows depictions of trauma, fear and desperation to escape.

It can be as simple as you using just one single word that KZbin doesn't like. I had the same problem until I became very creative with my language. 😅 Like for example for "questionable" words: Replace some letters with ___, use alternative made up words and " ". An example: He was d_pressed and had thoughts of "unaliving" himself. Unfortunately it's trial and error which words trigger the censorship which "effing" sucks. 😉 It can also cause problems if you include several links in one post or non-KZbin links. 💜

Yes there is a trigger warning KZbin definitely puts a trigger warning on it because of the controversial Content! The first video was from his first mixtape titled Agust D, Daechwita is the title track from his second mixtape D-2 , the word Daechwita literally means hard hitting and blow it is Korean traditional wind and percussion instruments that are played when the army is marching in a parade or into war or to announce the king who is walking amongst the commoners. Haegeum literally means from two perspectives one it’s a Korean string instrument and also Agust D said it is also to unlock something that is forbidden something that can be overtaken from something that was not allowed. He said that in the K-pop industry Korean idols were forbidden to have tattoos shown wearing certain clothing or smoke or even drink in a public setting or in their music videos and here you see that Agust D is showing his rebellion of forbidden behavior and he is unlocking what should be acceptable to all! I would also like to make a suggestion that DKDK TV has a explanation for Daechwita and bookish theories has an explanation to Agust D and Heageum! Oh I notice no one let you know that the word Haegeum has 2 meanings. 1 it's a traditional 2 stringed Korean instrument played with bow 2 means lifting a ban from something prohibited or that is considered a social/cultural taboo. You missed so much by not paying attention to the lyrics. Lyrics, BTS message is what sets them apart from other musical groups. The MVs are beautiful productions with alot going on. As you gain experience you need to put in the hard work like watching the MVs twice once for the visuals and a second time for the lyrics, and for the message, or vice versa lyrics first visuals second. Also DKDKTV, Bookish Theory, provide excellent, thoughtful explanation videos. This is loving constructive criticism, ARMY wants to know you respect the message, the lyrics the artists worked so hard on. Haegeum was a brilliant commentary on the internet social media and bombarding of info and data we receive daily. Daechwita was not just a flex and a dis track. As Suga said he doesn't need to flex.
