Adagio is a song by world famous French singer Lara Fabian which she adapted to voice from the Adagio in G minor for strings and organ which is commonly attributed to 18th-century Tomaso Albinoni but was actually composed by 20th-century musicologist and Albinoni biographer Remo Giazotto. Dimash was a fan of Lara Fabian for many years and admired her work greatly. Lara also has been a friend of the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer Igor Krutoy for many years who wrote a number of songs for her, including ‘Mademoiselle Hyde’ which Dimash performed on occasion as well. Unlike Lionel Richie (‘Hello’) and Vitas (‘Opera 2’) who demanded that Dimash never perform their songs again after ‘The Singer’ competition, Lara was excited about Dimash’s success with her song ‘Adagio’ and wanted to meet and collaborate with him. Dimash finally met her in Paris (see link to story below). When Igor Krutoy heard Dimash at Sochi in 2018, he came out of retirement and composed a number of great songs for Dimash as well. Lara and Dimash performed Igor Krutoy’s song ‘Ti amo cosi’ together with Aida Garifullina at Igor’s 65th birthday celebration in 2019. Dimash also performed the song ‘Your Love’ composed by Igor Krutoy with lyrics written by Lara Fabian in 2020 for the first time. Dimash benefitted greatly by his association with these world-renowned veterans of the music industry, but their relationship is much more than just professional. They have become good friends who appreciate, support, and respect each other. sazalem.com/en/news/dimashkudaibergenduetwithlarafabian

I do feel for the other contestants, but he was the youngest to ever compete in this competition for professional singers. They were all invited to come. No lame auditions or rude comments from judges. Dimash wound up becoming friends with many of them despite the language barrier. Since he's picked up more Mandarin and more English, I think they communicate more easily now. By the way, S.O.S. was his first performance, and they put him on FIRST. They all had to come on after him, and he won that week's judging.

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than twelve(12) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. Hard to recommend because Dimash does so many styles so we all have our favourites. Ikenaide in Japanese from the Tokyo jazz festival is stunning. Live streamed during covid. If you want to hear Dimash sing without extreme notes, I suggest Quaragym-ai which he sang to commemorate his college professor who died because of covid.. the song was written by the college professor. Dimash sings in an empty theatre except for the pianist, a fellow student. Its hard breaking. Dimash doesn’t need to show everything every time. It’s still amazing.

The other contestants were well established, popular singers. No non Chinese singer had ever been invited. Dimash was getting to be known in Kazakhstan, Russia and a few other regions. He left it all on the field at the competition and it led to a massive, overnight success in China. The rest is now history. This is not a miracle, but the culmination of over two decades of work and total dedication to his art. He still works with vocal coaches, language coaches, and choreographers in order to give us the best he has to offer.

What happens is that the 'I am singer' contest is not a normal contest. It is a competition for already famous and established professional singers in China and for the first time they made an exception to the rule and invited a singer from another country "Kazakhstan as a special guest", obviously he was not going to win out of respect for the glories of singing in China, he won second place but they know that he took first place in the hearts of all of China and the western world is now knowing him thanks to his exceptional participation in the program, therefore Dimash won because he managed to project himself and make himself known in the world and he achieved it in large part thanks to this spectacular Chinese contest and his wonderful performance

В июне концерт в Малайзии.Мне повезло побывать в апреле на концерте в Ереване. Димаш выступал с произведениями на разных языках и постоянно общался со зрителями.У него потрясающее обояние и чувство юмора! С приветом из России.

I don't think there's any particular order to watch his performances in, he covers so many genres that you get something different every time. Please ignore the people asking you not to pause, quite frankly if they want to see an uninterrupted performance they should be watching it on his channel. He's actually not in New York, he's working in LA with the composers and producers for Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and Mariah Carey. He's busy composing new music of his own and has apparently written 5 new songs in the jazz/blues genre. He's also been recording the soundtrack for a new Jackie Chan movie.

In my opinion the starting point on any Dimash journey should be SOS preformed on I am singer. The next two that I really enjoy though they are not competitions, are his in concert version of Daididau, and his in studio version of Ikanaide, done for a Japanese Jazz festival. Any thing Dimash sings is amazing . He is now 29 and has recently gotten his Doctorate in music. He is as wonderful of a human being as he is talented. Oh, a non essential fact. A lot of people think he is short and petite because he performs on such large stages. He is not. He is 6'3" Thank you for your video and I know you will enjoy exploring Dimashes music.

@@nickforell1 , sorry we were talking about his in concert version of Daididau . The story behind that song is true. The man , the poet, the song is about was unjustly imprisoned , stripped of his reputation, career, freedom, and even the belief that he was loved by the wife he had know since childhood. Stalin had him excuted and he died believing his beloved, Daididau had given up on him and was living with another man. She had not. She spent the rest of her life till she died at 83 I think it was, traveling the Soviet States gathering what works of her husbands that she could find. In the 90s Kazakhstan officially named the poet as a hero. I wish I could remember the poets name. Stranger is excellent but Daididau is something different.

Welcome to the family of Dears! If you want to stay on the road of discovery. I would suggest Autumn Strong from this competition. By the way, yes, those people are a competition. But they all are highly professional musicians. They were very friendly to each other, especially towards Dimash. Because he was the youngest and very vulnerable youth far away from country and family. Take care 🙏💕

Not only are his range and strenght amazing but the emotion he shows with his voice in the slower and less dramatic parts just floors me. So many singers focus on the highest parts and run through the rest, not him. My jaw dropped from the second sentence of the song and I knew this was going to be emotional.

Adagio was the first Dimash performance that KZbin suggested to me and he changed my life. Still can’t listen to this without crying. Dimash is an angel given from the heaven to the World. ❤️ His AveMaria is out of this world so listen to that. It’s not cover like his earlier performances but it was made to him. No one else can’t sing his Avemaria.

The best approach to Dimash is in chronological order, beginning with the Singer. You have now done episodes 1 (SOS) and 6 (Adagio). Ep 2 (Opera 2) is one of his most famous performances and quite unique (and in total contrast to the magnificent Adagio). Ep 3 (The show must go on) is interesting but I don't much like the song. Ep 4 (Late Autumn, sung in Chinese) is extraordinary and unmissable ... He performed in 13 episodes in total but his performances in the first six - minus episode 5, which is "Uptown funk" and not his finest hour (although of course it has curiosity value) - are the best.

@@nickforell1 Glad to be useful (in my old age). If you decide to do any of those episodes you will have many different postings to choose from. Some but far from all have English subtitles and some have prolonged material either side of the actual performance. Opera 2 is actually in Russian, but this video has English subtitles and it is just the performance. kzbin.info/www/bejne/lWecoqCve92Hr7c Late Autumn (otherwise known as Autumn Strong) is a classic Chinese cover (with rewritten lyrics) of a beloved Japanese original called Ikanaide ("Please don't go"). Dimash went on to give a superb performance of the original, in Japanese, at the 2021 Toyko Jazz Festival. Again, this video of his Ep 4 performance of the Chinese rewrite has English subtitles, and it too is just the performance. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZ7MY5aMns-Xg9E Of course everyone in the audience knows the song and they are very moved.

There‘s no specific order, but I think it’s better you first react to his older videos to see his development. Adagio is the 6th performance of The Singer competition in China in 2017. A really beautiful song❤️. A song that Lara Fabian (a Belgian-Canadian singer) has already sung and also written the lyrics for. Dimash has always been a great admirer of Lara. But Dimash takes this song to another level. Every time, I see this performance I forget to breathe and then burst into tears. The emotions that Dimash sends out with this performance literally hit me physically every time🤯. And you can see that I’m not the only one. I love his outfit with his blue suit and white shoes. If you watch several videos of him, you will see that he often falls on his knees during many of his performances. So a Dear gave him knee pads as a gift. I don’t think he wore them on stage though. Although he has certainly gotten one or two bruises😂. Please continue to react to The Singer competition and if possible the stories behind. You can find them on the Gloria Wu channel. As far as I know, on this channel there are no copyright issues and there are also English subtitles. And I always recommend switching them on. In some it is important to understand what the song is about. There are a lot of beautiful, sad and awesome songs to discover. I can also highly recommend the videos from the Gloria Wu channel because they show a little more of the scenes behind the scenes and there are also subtitles from the competitors, some of which are really funny. The 7th performance was Daididau. A song he sings in Kazakh. This song is very sad and it tells about a very dark time in the history of Kazakhstan, not so long ago. To understand the song, I always advise to take the link from Gloria Wu’s channel as it shows the background story and also has English subtitles. The Kazakh poet and writer Magzhan Zumabayev was sentenced by the Russian regime to 10 years in prison for conspiracy in 1929 and imprisoned. While in cusody there, he was falsely told that his wife had left him. If I am correctly informed he is said to have written the lines of the song in prison (as a letter to his wife), probably to express his deep sadness and despair over is. Although he was released in 1934, he was arrested again a few months later and was executed 1937. There is also another version of this song that I would like to recommend, but only after or together with the one from the singer competition. And that's the one from his Bastau concert. This concert was his first solo concert after performing in The Singer competition in 2017. He has invited about 100 dombra players to this concert, who together with him perform a short instrumental, Adai, before Daididau. That's also very impressive. But that, if you want, later. It’s really worth it. The Singer: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoDWaKWho5hpgpI Bastau: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJKXp2Rvh9VpmbM Another very emotional song is Daybreak also from The Singer competition. It’s the 8th performance. I highly recommend you to watch the version with the story behind on the Gloria Wu channel first and then the one from his Bastau concert. It was the 8th performance of this competition. I don’t think there are copyright issues, because the videos on this channel are already edited and there are English subtitles. It’s really important, to see The Singer version first to understand what the song is about. This song tells a very sad but true story. You really have to watch this with subtitles. In the Singer version he was so sick and had a severe sore throat and fever. He lost his voice the night before his performance of Daybreak. I heard him say in an interview that it was very painful throughout the song, that his throat feels like shredded glass but he didn’t want to disappoint the people who stand behind him and so he pulled himself together and went on stage. He got 5 injections from this doctor in the hospital. And the doctor told him not to sing high notes. You can see how concerned the other competitors were and they suffered with him. They knew he was not doing well and one of them even gave him a very expensive Chinese medicine from his own inventory. The problem was his busy schedule between the performances and he didn’t have enough time to recover. He made very good friends there and many friendships still exist today. After the performance he lost his voice again. It’s unbelievable how he always manages to convey emotions to such a degree. Though I think in this one particular version the emotions he shows are mostly concern about his voice keeping up with the song and the pain he must have been in doing it. There is also a version from his Bastau concert (no sore throat). It is phenomenal and mind-blowing., emotional and heartbreaking. Maybe you can do both together. Many reactors do and so you can see the difference between this two performances. The Singer: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4mqd2qsnKqMgc0 Bastau version: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJy9hX2ggdR3bJY What I love about the Chinese competitors is that they don’t behave like competitors. Everyone wishes everyone luck. Everyone watches the other’s performance. Clap, sing along. In my opinion, no one begrudges the success of another. They might not have taken Dimash seriously at first, but that quickly changed after SOS. Through ist honest, cheerful and open nature, he found friends very quickly. Contacts that still exist today. Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️

I think staying in the 2017 singer comp is a good idea. Its good to get to know early Dimash, that show is what kinda kickstarted things for him! Must watch performances from this show are: All by myself, Confessa + Diva Dance, Opera 2, Show must go on and my personal favorite Unforgettable day. Also Daididau is cool, you get to see him perform classic Khazak (I dont know how to spell that..haha) instrument! He floored everybody with his first performance when he did SOS but you already heard that song! Enjoy that one for yourself! I´ve been a dear for one and a half year now and it never gets old! Dimash loves Lara Fabian, he got to meet her at one of Igor Krutoys 65th Birthday concert and perform with her. Kazakhstan definitely adores Dimash, even their president talks about him. Dimash did win first place for this performance. He performed 13 different times during the Singer 2017 (there was 14 performances total) he didnt have to perform during one week because he was already vetted to be in the semi-finals. If you want to follow the Singer episodes, then the order would be. SOS, Opera 2, The Show Must Go On, Autumn Strong, Uptown Funk, Adagio, Daididau, Daybreak, All By Myself, Unforgettable Day, Confessa + The Diva Dance, Tribute to Michael Jackson and Give Me Love (Mahabbat Ber Magan)

Good choice for crowd / contestant reactions. Dimash performed SOS as the first performance of the first show in the Singer season series. The youngest and only second non-Chinese in Singer history, he shocked all, and the relatively unknown artist was instantly famous and surrounded by security thereafter. I would've suggested SIS for show reactions, but too soon after your reaction to SOS 2021. This will be great fun watching the 22yr-old Prodigy drop jaws.

Yes, it usually only takes one listen to become a Dear! 😆 No, don't try to breath along with Dimash as he sings { a particular 'hazard' for other singers who tend to do so automatically ) as you'll run out of air long before he does! How does he do this? 1st: he was trained in Bel Canto Operatic techniques, which include breathing imperceptibly, whilst delivering long notes and passages. 2nd: This training included techniques to project his voice to the far reaches of large theatres ( in the days before microphones were invented ). You'll often see him pull the mike away from his face when he's high belting so as not to blow them out with his 'natural' volume. And 3rd: Unsurprisingly, given that Dimash approaches every element of his artistry with Olympic Athlete Gold Standard Level precision, he also Swims as much as possible, daily if he can, to maintain and expand his lung capacity. On which topic, he also practices Martial Arts to maintain and enhance his core body strength and flexibility, and that's on top of his 3+ hours of vocal chord exercises per day. So... yeah. It's not just his 'Gift from above', or his very smart choice of Parents! - but the product of over 20 years of highly disciplined hard work. # As for pausing and avoiding Copyright. Various Reactors use various different screens. The one's I've seen that seem effective but not too intrusive to viewing include raindrops etc. Suggest you check out and trial a few. # And yes; keep doing the right thing by directing all to his official site as well. This respect is much appreciated by all. 😊👍

Yes, they’re the competitors but don’t feel sorry for them as they can all pretty much hold their own as they are all talented and well known professional singers with established careers. FYI Hong Kong singer and actress Sandy Lam won the show with Dimash runner up - amazing achievement considering he was a wildcard competitor, the youngest (22 years old) and the first ever foreigner to appear in the show. Dimash opened and won the first episode of “I Am Singer” in 2017 (renamed The Singer) with his performance of SOS. He astonished the audience and TV viewers and became an overnight star in China (600 million views) and kick started his global career. Seriously, I’d watch his Singer performances first as I think some of his best performances are on this show - SOS, Opera 2 and Adagio which all won him first place. His other performances which were top 3 were Autumn Strong, Daybreak, Unforgettable Day and Confessa+Diva Dance. 🙏🏻🇦🇺
