In 2004, this song described exactly how I felt. For me, the days turned into a long neverending night. There hasn`t been a phase in my life for which Elvis wouldn`t have had a song. Elvis and I go back a long way, and I know that the journey into my future will be one that Elvis will always be a part of, in one way or the other.

I consider Elvis an American treasure. While growing up I loved the movies he was in, and some of his songs. He reminds me of Taylor Swift in the sense that while growing up he was bullied / mocked at times for being different, and then grew up to become a world wide music icon. I think of Elvis mostly for being an inspiration for many famous bands that are my personal favorites. When these bands are asked who inspired them, it's amazing how many times Elvis' name comes up. Great reaction!

I can't tell you how much i love and miss him, there is not a day that goes by that i don't think of him and all the memories we made in 10 short years, his death knocked the wind out of me i have never been the same since, Elvis was the big brother i never had. He is also my guardian angel. Graceland is my go to place when it get's to hard to live w/o my friend i go there and walk around and remember Elvis and all the beautiful times we had together. He was the only person in my life that understood me and cared about my feelings and opinions. What it comes down to is we both needed a true friend and we were that for each other. Awesome reaction. I had to set someone straight last night evening people trying to dirty Elvis name not on my watch what sickens me the most is the people that are talking smack know nothing of what they are speaking of, i have spent my entire adult life speaking out to people that try and judge a beautiful soul that is not here to defend himself and don't get me started on my girl Priscilla people hate her because they are straight up jealous she made Graceland prosperous no one else and people putting her down no way not while i still have breath in my lungs no one i mean no one will disrespect them period. BEST rendition EVER done of this song. What a delivery. Elvis was going through a divorce with his gold-digging wife. But his MOTHER. His mother's death wrecked him. But less known, his twin brother was stillborn. Elvis suffered from loss since the day he was born. His brother's death haunted him till the day he died.

I was largely a product of great 60s music, with the emphasis on the legendary bands of that time.
