I suggest checking her acting in the Korean Drama "My Mister" (Miniseries). It's available on Netflix in the US still. Singers must express their emotions with a minimum of chest voices. I think you don't understand that. When a singer makes a sound (like an action reaction in science), as much as it makes a sound, it is necessary to secure space with a chest and breath, and control the strong and the weak. For that to happen, the singer must be able to lift the sound lightly. So the singer does vocal training. But she barely has a chest voice and breath.
