in iu’s live performances of love poem, she usually adds an extra verse at the end. it’s the same as the beginning of the song, but she changes the last line: instead of “i think i can hear the silently written love poem” (숨죽여 쓴 사랑시가 낮게 들리는 듯해), at the end she sings “i hope you can hear the silently written love poem” (숨죽여 쓴 사랑시가 네게 들렸으면 해) which is just like aaahhh iu why are you making me cry even more 😭😭

Sadly my life has been a string of endless deaths in the last few years. I used to sing as wel, so I pay attention to lyrics more than most. Last year, I lost my grandmother and as she laid in the hospital, every day I would play and sing this song to her. For me, K-pop songs, especially by IU and BTS express deeper emotions. These songs often lend comfort to me and are a vocalization of my feelings as I know it has done for many others. People around me don’t always understand my love of K-pop but that doesn’t matter because it’s my personal form of therapy. Thank you for reacting to this amazing song.

Believe it or not the official live clip is more emotive and better vocally, although without subs which were put on this upload kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJ3XnWd7oNigZ68 You may know this was dedicated in a concert to a friend Sulli, an unnecessarily controversial idol, who committed suicide.
