You can see how Jordan Peele would become one of the best horror directors currently making movies.

Her reaction to this skit was by far my favorite reaction I've ever seen her do. There was so much emotion going so many different ways. Where I paused to write this message she looks a little too deranged after witnessing everything lmao.

Now that I think of it, the Make-A-Wish Foundation must have a high PTSD casualty count... either from workers who encounter evil children that make them question the innate goodness of humanity or from dying children who are innocent. Both horrific. Thank you Jordan Peele for highlighting this underappreciated profession.

There was a bit of a hullabaloo many years ago when some kid asked for - and was granted - hunting a bear in Alaska.

This reminds me of the Mr Show skit "Titanica" where a metal band visits a suicide survivor who, nevermind. I don't think Britt should watch it, it pushes boundaries to the edge.

I knew we would never get you to watch a horror movie, but this reaction. *Whispers* wish... granted lol😂😂😂

"Has there ever been a wish that they didn't grant?" Yeah, unfortunately - they can't grant every single wish (a celebrity might be unwilling, the child might be too ill to do that specific thing, the child might be asking to drown a man in a bathtub and then bathe in the death-water, etc.) Generally what happens is that they send a team to speak to the child and their immediate family to work stuff out, figure out exactly what they want, etc. and then they see if it's viable. If it isn't, they try to find the next best thing, or have the kid pick something else. It's unfortunately not possible for the child to get EXACTLY what they want every time, but the organization really does try to get as close to what the kid wants as possible. You also have shit like parents trying to hijack the wish ("my wish is for Daddy to have the new '23 Corvette Z06") that the teams have to sort through. It's overall a way more complex process than you'd think.

That wish “not to die” is probably the most common one they get.

Sadly true is the fact that children who have been on chemotherapy for a while along with other medications can become psychotic. Medications, pain and long term suffering can lead to a myriad of issues. I absolutely LOVE Peele in this skit, lmao!!! He's so sick and twisted but it's still funny lol!!!

There are exemptions, my initial wish was to go to Japan, but they can't fly you outside the country. My process was a few meetings, and it wasn't in the hospital, but that was back in 2006, so I don't know it its changed.

The reality sucks! I guess that you can laugh at the absurdity of the comedians. For some reason, this doesn't offend me, and I don't know why. My brother's grandson had leukemia and spent a long time at Los Angeles Childrens Hospital. Make a Wish saw him and their gift was a Nintendo which helped him take his mind off his treatment. He's an adult now, and doing fine
