La Chareada, La Cigarra, these are brilliant live performances (and i do mean performances) and you will love the outfits 😉 or, there is a live video on you tube of Down So Low that will blow your socks off! Oh the power! The passion! Love it! Lol

A big Smokey Robinson (who co-wrote it) hit in the mid-1960s age of Soul Music. She re-interpreted it and sang it from a woman's view. She made a huge hit of it again as pop-country-rock ballad. The 1970s was the era of woman auteur-singer, but Linda wasn't a song write. She's just the best female singer of the past 50 years!

Hey Britt. You know, I've been watching your reaction videos a while now, and when you break into the music and sing a few notes of our own to demonstrate the points you're making...you sound GREAT. Why not try and release a few songs yourself? I think you 'get' music. You always seem to understand all the little nuances and the subtle technicalities which make music sound great. Basically, I'd love to hear you sing yourself. What do you say? 🙋‍♂ ❤ 🙋‍♂ ❤

Linda, was one of the greatest singers ever inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and surely deserved it. She killed another Smokey song OOo Baby Baby. They did a fabulous duet together. Love Linda, she definitely moved to beat of her own drum. Loved her faith in herself in the face of her label telling her if she did something (Like make a Latin album, classical standards, which both went multi platinum, in fact the Latin album is the largest selling Latin music album in American History.) it would her career. Opera, she did it, Broadway, she did it. Just a legendary performer.

I say this on every reaction you do to Linda Ronstadt, and maybe someday you will get to it. You've got to check out the studio cut off her smash hit from the mid-70s, Back in the USA. From the album, Living in the USA. You want to hear her belt and totally rock while just killing you with her sexiness the whole time? You've got to hear it. You have got to hear it.

Smokey wrote some of the best lines in music history. One of my favorites, " if good looks were a minute you know that you could be an hour". It doesn't sound cheesy when its written by Smokey in a song for The Temptations, one of the biggest hits for Motown "The Way You Do The Things You Do".

Smokey Robinson both co-wrote and made it a hit originally; he does great with it for a guy; but Linda Ronstadt is the greatest female voice of the second half of the 20th century, perhaps outclassed only by Maria Callas from the first half of the century. Maybe. The male backup singer is likely Andrew Gold, who had two monster hits, the anthem-like "Lonely Boy" and monster hit "Thank You for Being a Friend."

Linda Ronstadt has an incredible, powerful voice. I don’t know if you have done a reaction to the original version by Smokey Robinson and The Miracles, if you haven’t - you should. Another version that is so good is Adam Lambert’s version when he was on American Idol. When Smokey Robinson writes a song, he tells a story and that is one of the things that I love about his music. So good…just so, so, so good!
