You should definitely react to the endings as well, they're just as good. There's also a 4th opening you missed (you flipped the 2nd and the 3rd too btw). There are 4 endings as well of course. You usually get a new Opening/Ending pair for each cour (~12 episodes) in anime. So depends on how long a season is (usually 1 or 2 cours, Re:Zero currently has 2 seasons and each are 2 cours).

@@mordor4309defining its genre by the tone isn't bad though, since re zero does sort of cross genres. Might be a fantasy but some of the magic system can start to seem a bit like soft sci fi(modern sci fi and fantasy are more two sides of the same coin unlike the speculative sci fi of Isaac Asimov and others in the past), also has lots of character driven stuff which feels out of place to someone who expects a fantasy to immediately explain the story's goal, and the occasional slice of life/basically drama sections(future arcs have more buildup in several cases before dangerous stuff happens). I mean a lot of people criticise it harshly cause they're sold it as a time travel anime, there's a precedent to not sell it on the usual genre/plot device elements.

Someone's probably already mentioned it already, but you ended up watching them out of order. It's not like it's going to ruin anything for you, they are still great openings no matter what. The first one you watched was season 1 part 1, then season 2 part 1, then back to season 1 part 2. There is still one opening left from season 2, "Long Shot". Also, the Outro's from the show are also amazing with the first one being everyone's favorite. The "correct" order from a series pow is "Styx Helix", "Stay Alive", "Memento" and finally "Believe in you" (last one being as amazing as Styx Helix"). On a sidenote, Stay Alive is performed by the voice actress of the main character os the series, Emelia. There are also a few amazing Insert Songs like Door (not going to spoil what it means, but Re:Zero fans knows what I mean when I say season 2 scene, you know /that/ scene, "if you don't want this, then dodge"). Also, the ultimate challenge for you, one of the best piece of music ever made imo is from this anime, from season 1. It's called "Requiem of Silence", and it's one of the most amazing pieces of music ever written!!

There are 4 openings to rezero. The second one you listened to is actually the third opening and the last one is the 2nd opening. The two seasons of rezero are 24 episodes each. Recent anime is divided into 12/13 episodes called a cour and they have a opening change to reflect that. Rezero is actually kinda infamous for not really using its ending and opening all that much because it crams so much information into each episode. The second season for the most part went a full 30 mins of content without any opening and ending which is pretty much unheard of. A lot of shows do forgo their op and ed for the finale or important episodes but they never go full 30 mins. They are only usually about 23 to 24 mins long. It also means rezero episodes do not have any ads when they aired on TV. The amount of care its animation studio, Whitefox, put into the show is what makes it one of my favorite anime shows.

Almost all animes have 2 OPs per season, btw. Most anime seasons, especially modern currently airing series, are split into 2 separate ‘cours’ (or halfs to be simple). The first usually 12-13 episodes are considered part 1 of the season and have their 1st OP, and then from episode 13/14-24/25 are considered part 2 and have their 2nd OP. This playlist you got was really weird though cause the Paradis Pardoxium opening was actually the 2nd OP for season 1 and there was a 2nd OP for season 2 that was supposed to come after Realize.

To complement, for anime releases the year is divided in 4 seasons of 3 months each. With 1 episode per week, that's around 12 episodes in a season. All anime get released around the start of a season. *Most anime only last for a single season, meaning they will have the 12 episodes.* *Others, like Attack on Titan Season 1, last for 2 entire anime seasons. That's around 24 episodes.* As such, it's common for anime that last longer than a single anime season to change openings after around 12 episodes, which equals to 3 months of episodes.
@rafaelcalmon28582 жыл бұрын
I should add, we can check which anime are airing in the current and next seasons in the many websites that list them. *I personally use Anichart.* There's release dates, movies, OVAs. Also all the previous seasons as well in the Archive section.

To reply what you were saying near the end of the video, I'd say that it's exactly because there are so many different kind of anime that I just can't get enough of it. There's anime from different genres and subgenres with a lot of different themes, stories and characters. Of course there's bound to be some clichés too but if done well then those might be a good thing. Anime has been a huge part of my life from young age and I don't think I could ever get bored of watching anime. I'll admit there are times when I'm not in the mood of watching anime if I'm feeling tired, busy or just want to do something else for a change of pace. I love watching anime but that doesn't mean I need to watch every episode of every anime in every season. I don't want to force it on myself but watch it when I feel like it. Another thing is that just like with everything else, I have my preferences, likes and dislikes. I find some shows more interesting than some others but generally speaking I'm open to check out at least a few episodes of an anime if it catches my interest based on things like synopsis, PV or other things. But on a more general level I just can't see myself ever starting to hate anime. A lot of anime often seems to follow safer or already established trends but sometimes there are gems that either add a twist on those trends or just pull off something very unique. I'm glad you are enjoying anime opening songs. There's a whole new world of waiting for you because there's a lot of really cool and great anime openings out there!

You get those split openings on longer seasons and in seasons where one half is shown over one anime "Show Season" and then the second is shown in a later "Show Season" Each show season is a particular loose 12 week stretch with a few certain weeks of the year skipped for various holidays. There's usually 4 show seasons, such as this week being the very end of the Summer to Fall Show Season and the start of the Fall to Winter Season. Typically the Fall to Winter and Winter to Spring are the priority seasons for big releases, and in cases like Re:Zero, a show may release one 12 episode stretch in the Winter to Spring season and then continue the season in the Fall to Winter Stretch.

So correct order goes: Redo, Paradis Paradoxium, Realize and then Longshot, they do two openings per half a season
@rafaelcalmon28582 жыл бұрын
Exactly. Part 2 = season 2. So it goes Part1 OP1 -> Part1 OP2 -> Part2 OP1 ->Part2 OP2. Some places will actually just list them as openings 1, 2, 3 and 4, which is clearer ;D

You missed re zero season 2 part 2 opening long shot by mayu maeshima. Also thats how animes are usually named in that a season is typically 12-13 episodes but re zero was double that so you have re zero season 1 part 1 and part 2 then the same for season 2. Mayu Maeshima is someone that I think you would like because shes the original singer for myth and roid.

The synopsis of the show is that the main character, Natsuki Subaru, is teleported to another world, where he thinks everything will be positive and he’ll have a great time like in anime, however he realizes very soon it is not how he envisioned it. He goes through struggles, and even dies. Or so you think, as soon as he loses consciousness, he wakes up again in the same world he was summoned to. He has the ability to restart, or return to a previous point in time, by death. I highly recommend giving it a shot, the amount of trauma he endures along his journey and this character development is great.

You missed the 4th opening, but you could do the ending as well and just add it in there. The endings are bangers as well! Also Re:Zero is probably something you'd like after AOT, it's very dark and gritty and has a really interesting premise and plot. ED1: Styx Helix - Myth & Roid ED2: Stay Alive - Rie Takahashi ED3: Memento - Nonoc ED4: Believe in You - Nonoc And the OP4 you missed: Longshot - Mayu

I think you got confused with the order of the OP themes: First, Redo by Konomi Suzuki 2nd, Paradisus-Paradoxum by MYTH & ROID and Third, the OP theme for Season 2 Realize by Konomi Suzuki. There's also a 4th OP you missed Long Shot by Mayu Maeshima. I really like your reactions! If you have time, try to react to the ED themes and Insert songs as well. All OST of Re Zero are straight up bangers.

The reason they made 2 openings per season is because each season is 25 episodes, but also because the way they released them. Each season is 25 episodes, but when they released it they split them both into 2 cours, releasing the first 12 episodes weekly for a while before taking a break and releasing the last 13 later.

Anime like to change the intro and endings to reflect the current story arcs covered. Mother's basement an anime reviewer has great series of video called (what's in an OP?) The videos rank all the opening of particular anime by their song and animation together, with analyzation of the thematic themes and or storytelling of the anime openings. Would only recommend watching after seeing the series in question because there will be spoilers in the openings themselves and in his analysis.
