Her outfit was designed for her for this by Ralph Lauren. She sang it without going over the top like so many do and nearly 69 years old, she is an icon.

My thought exactly! She kept it short and simple!!!! No drawn out notes that a lot of singers like to do!!! She WAS respectful of the song. And she has aged very gracefully!!!!

It's just not fair for 1 person to be that gorgeous AND have that much talent. Since you are so into the clothes, Britt. I saw her in concert in the late 80s. For her encore, she came out, with that hair and those eyes, in a blue sequined gown. She was hit with a blue spotlight. I will carry that vision to my grave.

You might be even happier about her pants, when I tell you they were specially made for her, by Marc Jacobs!!! You can't really tell, in this vid, but they had fringe, as well---Reba has difficulty, breathing, if she isn't wearing fringe!!! LOL Also, as I'm sure you've heard, Reba is a real-life cowgirl, participating in rodeos, just like several other of her family members, including her father!!! That's his belt buckle, that she's wearing, that he won, in 1957, steer-ropin'!!! Also, her bracelet, that's not easily seen, was her mother's. Since both of her parents have passed, Reba said she wanted to take them---and God---with her, on this day!!!

@marleybob315710 ай бұрын
Reba did a good job but let's be honest, there is no better version of the National Anthem than the version Marvin Gaye did at the 1983 NBA All-Star game. He was the one that rewrote the rules and made watching the Anthem something people did rather than something people got through to see the game. Without Marvin's version, Whitney Houston, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Diana Ross and Carrie Underwood would have sung standard versions.
