What I liked is that she sang it in keys that were in her vocal range and kept it comfortable.

You know what the difference between Reba and half of the others that have sang the national anthem is Reba sang it with heart not to get an extra 20 seconds in the spotlight

I am almost 40 years young and have listened to Reba since I was in diapers. I have had the pleasure of seeing her live in concert and her voice is even more beautiful and powerful live performances versus done in the studio. She sang this with pure raw emotion and so effortlessly as if it were a simple lullaby we’d sing to a newborn baby. Oh btw she has a new show coming with the cast from her hit show “Reba”

No annoying runs…Just sang the song! Queen Reba, wearing her Daddy’s 1961 Championship buckle, her Momma’s bracelet. Never had a scandal, never had a hateful word for anyone. At 78, won a #Grammy for Gospel Album of the Year…Reba had to walk from the back of the room!

I was in the other room when she sang the first few lines, and when I heard those chords I went to listen, and I rewound to hear it again. It's not just the diphthongs: most of the longer notes, she scoops, as you say, but it's the onset note that is most interesting. Was there a reharmonization in the arrangement? It sounded country, but it was also jazz. From "can" you can sense a different chord structure from the usual, the second syllable of "early", first syllable of "gallantly", extending the note on "through" and shortening it on "the". The chord structure provided by the band was interesting. Our national anthem is also a great song!

Hello💙🌄🌱I love your reviews of the songs. It would be amazing if you analyzed the songs from the movie "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron" by Dreamworks, and "Pocahontas" by Disney. The soundtrack of these movies is so emotional, beautiful, alive, and with such beautiful messages. As I'm Brazilian, I've listened to them more in the Brazilian Portuguese version since I was a child, but the English versions are amazing too! These soundtracks are so🥹 Sorry if the English is wrong, I used the translator🌅🙏🏻

All her low notes were either way too quiet or more often, flat. “We’re so galantly (burp).” The entire phrase was very flat and the last word just vanished into a messy sound. They should have done it @ steps higher for her range to fit better. It’s a tough song.
