10:06 "There's no way he got captured and just escaped". Indeed, he didn't just escape. He escaped the room, then freed the other prisoners of the camp, then took all the germans from that camp as prisoners before returning to the french lines... The man was a Hollywood movie hero in real life...

I would like to explain what was being shown during the actual song itself after the bunker scene, at around 6:39, you start seeing, as the title for the section implies, Albert, alone, with all his comrades dead in the trench around him, held that trench by himself by propping up guns along the trench and running between them, firing them to make it seem like there were many soldiers still in the trenches, forcing the Germans to retreat. 8:53 shows of when Albert was captured, and, indeed, freed himself and his fellow French Soldiers that were captured, taking the Germans that held them as POWs instead. and then the last one, where he rescues the Captain is explained by the video later. I hope this helps explain a little more of Albert Severin Roche Story to you!

Yes, agree, 'En livstid i krig' live from the Great Tour would be natural choice. I could also suggest 'Ghostdivision' live from the polish Woodstock back in 2012, or why not 'Red Baron' also from the Great Tour, but in Germany this time. There are so many alternatives....

I love your comments, that the band can put the story first, all the while keeping incredible music pushing the story. This man is like Audie Murphy, at 5'5", who was refused by the Marines, finally accepted by the Army, and got so many medals for his fighting in WW2. In the Colmar area of France. Audie and his troop were attacked by 6 German tanks and a hundred or so German soldiers. Both of the Allied tank destroyers were hit and on fire. Audie ordered his men to safety, stayed by himself to face his enemy, climbed on one of the burning tank destroyers, and began calling in artillery and firing the still-operational machine gun. Due to the fire on the tank destroyer and the smoke from the artillery hits, the Germans did not know where the machine gun fire was coming from. Audie later said that this was the first time that his feet had been warm all winter. He also said that he imagined that each German soldier had the face of his dad, whom he hated because his dad had abandoned his family, leaving Audie to quit school and support his mother, brothers, and sisters. Audie learned to shoot animals for food for his family, often with only one bullet, so if he missed, his family didn't eat. After the war, Audie became a movie star, but never got over his PTSD. He tried sleeping pills to stop the nightmares, but eventually kicked the pills by locking himself in a hotel room for a week. And he called attention to PTSD, knowing how many soldiers just never got over the terrible war experiences. He wrote a book about his life as a soldier, To Hell and Back, which was made into a film. Re-enacting the horrors of war in a Hollywood movie probably didn't help his PTSD. Though Audie lost lots of his money through a gambling addiction, he never accepted lucrative offers to make cigarette or alcohol commercials, not wanting to influence young people. His book To Hell and Back contains a poem he wrote, "The Crosses Grow at Anzio." The title of the book and lines from the poem inspired Joakim, who was trying to blend heavy metal with spaghetti western music. Audie's story helped Joakim create the music. The Sabaton wiki has tons of info about this.

Another INCREDIBLE Sabaton song is Inmate 4859. Watch the lyric video, then watch the Sabaton history video so you can see just what absolute Hell that amazing man was put through, only to be done completely dirty at the end.

Here are extra suggestions for Sabaton live, whether or not you can react to them. They are just fun to watch. Sabaton Concert in Houston TX , which includes a truly moving tribute to the WW1 American Doughboys. So incredible to see people from WW1 celebrating the end of the war, looking into the camera, right into the eyes of a crowd of people there to hear Sabaton!. Next, Sabaton - Ghost Division + Stormtroopers [Live in Portland] on Saturday, September 17, 2022. This concert was just as the covid restrictions lifted, and the energy of the crowd and the band is wonderful. There are plenty of others, but one that you shouldn't miss is Hellfest 2019, when Sabaton replaced Manowar (who got into a tiff with the festival management and refused to play for their fans). (There are two videos of this performance). Joakim lost his voice on the third song, so the two guitarists, Tommy and Chris, carried on, taking turns singing songs with sheets of paper with the lyrics. I like to play this concert, especially on those days when carrying on seems hard. The band carried on despite all these obstacles, and did just great:)

Amazing how no matter how much the militaries didn't want minorities or people who met their standards. How many of them have served with distinction and honor. As said before Sabaton has a habit of making you patriotic for some elses country. Could say the same thing for Yarn Hub.

They have released a lot of live videos of their songs called "The great tour" where you get to see from the stage point of view and its really cool. But if you want the regular view I can recommend SABATON - Uprising or SABATON - Ghost Division.

En livstid I Krig Live @Gothenbug with english captions on is a required watch for any sabaton fan. En livstid i krig is about a sweedish soldier's sacrifice in the the 30 years war that took place in europe but its heart wrenching if you know anyone in your family or friends that serve even today. 40:1 and Uprising both live @ polish woodstock festival are excellent songs about the polish resistance during WW2 as well if you ever get around to doing more sabaton.

I’ve heard people say Sabaton “over plays” the epic, anthemic sound, but we ain’t talking about army clerks who stapled and collated above and beyond the call of duty. I know you agree that Sabaton’s subject deserve that sound, and I love it.

And to think that many Americans consider us to be surrendering cowards (for the record, in 1940 the American army didn't even have 10% of the equipment or men that France had, so May-June 1940 would have been Thursday-Friday for the American army...), even though we're the country with the most military victories in the world, the greatest military genius (Napoleon)..... It's sad to treat our main ally (for the record, who helped the American colonies during independence?). From France
