There are hundreds or thousands of Indian singers who make their career by learning and perfecting the Indian style of singing - which is not easy - doing the same in their whole life, retiring as millionaires. For Su-metal... she did this for just one song.

SU-METAL's stage presence is unparalleled. MIKIKIKO, one of Japan's leading choreographers, said of SU-METAL, “I think genius is exactly what she is, She has so much natural talent for performance. She makes every movement her own and has the ability to express herself in a way that wins over the song. So even if she just puts her hands out in front of her, she makes it look so moving.” She said.

Yes BABYMETAL on prescription, perfect (and I get prescriptions free now🦊👍). Absolutely right about Su's voice - incredible and yet another vocal style she had never tried mastered at the first attempt. Shanti is a Sanskrit (a written Indian language) word ... probably also used in other Indian languages. It means peace - repeated 3 times it means peace in body, mind and spirit (or maybe in thought, word and deed). This is so Indian I feel like I'm being transported back to my brief time working there and the music the local staff would bring to parties. The sitar at the start, the kaleidoscope visuals (well done finding a live version and not using the official video - the editor got really carried away with the kaleidoscope at the expense of the choreo). Talking of the choreo there have been dancers from India or with Indian heritage compliment them on the authenticity of their movements. Moa said getting the hand movements right was really hard. The first half of the Metal Galaxy album does explore some different musical styles from around the world. As well as 'Shanti x3' 'Oh! Majinai' is based on a Finnish polka but borrows a lot from mainly eastern Europe, ''Night Night Burn' is Latin, 'PA PA YA' has some Thai influence ....

This is my absolute FAVOURITE song from any group, I can't stress how much I love it 😭 Her INSANE vocals that match the singing style, the elegant and insanely technical cultural dancing, and the overall performance is just perfect 🥹🥹 And THANK YOU for doing the right live version 😭 I'm so happy, thank you so much, and I'm glad you love it so much ❤️❤️

Babymetal as a group have just gotten better and better over the years. They started as a cute idol type group, and now after so many years they are a trio of nearly perfect musicians and performers. As you have noted basically everything they do is so professional and perfect. With that being said, you REALLY need to make a video on some of their collabs they have done in the last few years. Their song with Bring me the horizon is amazing. Their new song with Electric Callboy is basically perfection too. You should watch BMTH's live video of their collab. The thing I love about these collabs they do as it seems like they open up a bit in a way, you see them smiling and having fun compared to their stone cold professionalism! OH and by the way, since you are doing Japanese rock you would be doing yourself a disservice if you don't watch the live performance of Unravel by Ado. She's a Japanese singer who has blown up to be one of Japan's greatest talents. Her version of the song Unravel from the anime Tokyo Ghoul is beautiful and haunting. She like Baby metal, is one of the few artist who are genuinely better live than in their studio recordings. Please check these out, you wont regret it.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。"Musical diversity" is what BABYMETAL are always pursuing. This song has been welcome by many people with Indian background. I am sure Team BABYMETAL is happy to see that. I can imagine how diligently the songwriter, choreographer, Su / Moa, and Kamis tried to analyze, study and understand music and dance moves of Indian style. They took a risk of being called "fake" or "cheap copy" of Indian music whereas they simply wanted to create their own metal music with comfortable Indian vibes paying their due respect to the culture. Kudos to them, as always.

_Accha accha accha acchaaa_ 🦊🤘🔥 Nice to see you're back with more BM songs. Please remember not miss out the new collab along with Electric Callboy - RATATATA that is rocking out and dance everyone. They brought back SSS (Shanti x3) last year at live concerts in Asia and Australia, and was one of the regular songs in their setlist, i think is cool because is one of the songs is usually favorite among the female fans, they didn't at Europe and UK Tour but this year in March they did it again at Legend MM "20 Night" celebrating MomoMetal's birthday, and later at Legend 43 in Okinawa. This journey to Metal Galaxy on their 3rd album from 2019 got a lot of songs picking up rhythms from all over the world and combine with the unique sound of BM. SSS got a clear Indian influence and elements, others songs got folk metal or latin rhythms, or Thai rap, so this journey is wild. They got another song with a title referred to Hindu mythology called "MAYA" but the sound is nothing like this. The third backup dancer or "avenger" in the official MV is Kano Fujihira, just remember none of them got official name revealed and aren't official members, but that status changed recently with MomoMetal. MoaMetal talked about this saying it was one of the hardest choreo to match up and get in sync with every one of the avenger, especially at Legend Metal Galaxy 2020 when all the avengers switch up in the same show (also taking it a break) while Moa performing the full set. Next suggestion to enjoy more of this Metal Galaxy you want: - Oh! MAJINAI feat. Joakim Brodem live at Budokan 2021 (folk metal). - Night Night Burn live at Legend Metal Galaxy 2020 (Latin rhythms) - In The Name Of live at Legend S 2017 (this one is close to african or tribal elements, but it got more like a Sepultura vibes and they're from Brazil, thou we all know there's some relationship between both cultures). See you next time 🦊🤘🔥

Haha good one, enjoyed this reaction very much. I've seen other Indian reactors say this is "cultural appreciation". If you're interested in exploring some of their other influences: *Night Night Burn (Legend Metal Galaxy 2020):* Flamenco/Salsa *Metalizm (Pia Arena MM, 2023):* Middle Eastern *Oh! Majinai (Budokan 2021):* Piratemetal? Celtic folk metal? Ft. Joakim of Sabaton. *Meta Taro:* Bagpipes, lol. Best rendition is Momometal's birthday special from Legend MM 21 Night (Momo Taro), but due to how recent it is, only compilations are available. Still worth a view. *Metali (Official Live):* Traditional Japanese festival + Rage Against the Machine's groove. Ft. Tom Morello *Ratatata (Official MV):* Techno/EDM. Ft. German band Electric Callboy, and Babymetal's newest release from last week! *Onedari Daisakusen (Legend 1997):* "Black Babymetal", Yui & Moa's duet. Limp Bizkit/Nu-metal *YAVA! (Fox Festivals 2017):* Ska *BxMxC (Budokan 2021):* Rap Also, if you are interested in getting to know Babymetal further, we would love to see a reaction to a guide: The Not So Extensive Guide to BABYMETAL (April 1st 2024), by A Fox Song. It is a bit lengthy (~40min), but it will give you an amazing understanding of their background and progression to today. Look forward to more!! 🤘🦊

Nice! And on my birthday too! I was one of the comments to say check this song out and do the LIVE and you listened to us. Su's vocal control is outstanding. Their dancing was perfect. There is an Indian reactor who loved this and said this was 100% culture Appreciation. She said they nailed it down to the head tilt to the hand movement to the small steps. These girls make me feel so proud and happy. 🤘🦊🤘 Others will list other songs that have more cultural influences. Metalizm is one of the newer ones that has Arabian Egyptian vibes. Night night burn is awesome too with Latin flare.

⚡ 💕 / 🕉 ☮ "Shanti Shanti, Prana of living beings Shanti Shanti, Chakra blooming life Shanti Shanti, Samsara of living beings Shanti Shanti, Karma, be in high spirits" (Shanti Shanti Shanti) It's great that Su has an opportunity for some vocal pyrotechnics on this one. And I'm sure they loved learning this choreography. Moa mentioned in an interview that the hand gestures were pretty challenging. It's very different from the style of dance they are used to. The musical influences on the third album, 'Metal Galaxy' are really diverse. It's clear they approached all of their international fusions with an attitude of respect, which makes all the difference in the world.

Thanks for this reaction, when the album came out, I had this song pretty much on repeat for weeks. 7:10 Babymetal was formed around this early teenager (12) and her talent. The producer even shortly worked with her a year before and wanted to work with her as a metal project, but wasn't allowed. It was already clear by professionals she was talented singer years before that, age 8 when she became part of Actors School Hiroshima, even got a scholarship for that.

Excellent reaction, guys! I usually don't like compilation videos BUT this one in particular is pretty decent and features the three Avengers (backup dancers) without being a brutal mash-up. So, I'd like to start giving kudos to Riho Sayashi, Kano Fujihira and (of course) Momoko Okazaki. They did a great job and I'm very happy that Momoko ended up becoming an official member. With that said, no, there is nothing they can't do. And there is nothing Su-metal can't sing (apparently). And yes, this is made with the highest respect to the culture. Actually, several Indian (or of Indian descent) reactors have mentioned they are very accurate and especially praised their hand movements. They have other cultures' related songs like "Night Night Burn!", "Oh! Majinai" or even "PA PA YA!". But since you asked for something "tribal" I have to suggest you "In the name of". You better try the 10 BABYMETAL Budokan version from 2021 because the mythical version from Legend-S is going to get blocked instantly. 🤘🦊

BABYMETAL blues is a real thing. Almost everyone that has spoken about attending one of their concerts talk about how afterwards they feel sad, myself included. There's something about seeing them in person, some magical combination that makes you feel so good, so amazingly good, and then it's over, and we chase that high again, and again, and the same thing happens every time, and even worse is when you're up against the barrier and get a smile from any of the three super ladies. When Su-metal saw me waving around my pink Sakura Gakuin flag she gave me a cheeky little smile and I stopped jumping around and my hand went immediately to my chest, and I felt such joy at that moment. It sounds silly but my goodness BABYMETAL is a drug and it's very addictive!

I've been using BabyMetal as an antidepressant for years now. I'm not even joking. Also, most of Metal Galaxy is a cultural grab bag. There's Latin with Night Night Burn. A Celtic vibe with Oh Majinai. Metalizm was on The Other One, but we all suspect is was originally meant to be release on Metal Galaxy because of the clear Middle Eastern influence.

A very "Latin" song, including the choreo! The Spanish fans appreciated that VERY much! You should try that one, too 😉 "Shanti"x3 was appreciated by some Indian/Pakistani aquaintances of me, too. They said, that this was the most authentic song they ever heard done by foreigners and that the dancing/hand movement was ON POINT. They were stunned during watching the video. On their third album Metal Galaxy, they included several songs with world music influences, in particular from cultures that had supported them over the years, sort of as a thank you to their fans all over the world. "Shanti, Shanti, "Shanti" was obviously Indian in influence. There was also "Oh Majinai," which had Celtic influences, and "Night Night Burn" which had a Spanish Salsa flavor.

Babymetal traverse across genres since the very beginning. That's why all their song almost never sound the same. They have done genre blends also explore numerous sub-genres of metal as well. Here are some of them: J-Pop Metal - "Doki Doki Morning" (1st ever song) Dubstep Metal? - "Uki Uki Midnight" Latin Metal - "Night Night Burn!" Ska Metal - "Yava!" Celtic Metal - "Oh! Majinai!" ft. Joakim Broden from Sabaton. Viking/Folk Metal - "Meta Taro" Trap Metal - "BxMxC" (Pronounced B.M.C) Middle East Metal - "Metalizm" 90s Dance Metal - "Da Da Dance" Prog Metal - "Tales of The Destinies" (This song is a twin song with "The One") Ballad Metal - "The One" - "No Rain, No Rainbow" (Su-Metal solo song) Bubble Gum Pop Metal? - "Awadama Fever" Death Metal - "Sis. Anger" (Black Babymetal song. Black Babymetal is when Yuimetal and Moametal perform as a duo without Su-Metal.) - "Babymetal Death" (Introduction song) Speed/Power Metal - "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" (Just call it IDZ) - "Road of Resistance" - "Amore" (Su-Metal solo song) - "Arkadia" (Part of the Trilogy of Light) - "Akatsuki" (Su-Metal solo song) Trash Metal - "Gimme Chocolate!" Rap Metal - "GJ!" (Black Babymetal song) - "Onedari Daisakusen" (Black Babymetal song) Japanese Folk Metal - "Metali!" ft. Tom Morello Brazilian Metal? - "In The Name Of" (Instrumental song) Specials If Babymetal not Metal - "Akatsuki unfinished version" (Su-Metal solo. Only performed once at "Legend 1997" concert) - "Monochrome piano version" (On a KZbin channel called The First Take) *Note. This is only my interpretation of what the genre is.
