They are the perfect duo. They're voices stand out from each other's but don't overpower either. They blend so beautifully and the contrast in styles really enhance their different vocal tones!

What amazes me is that, at times, you can't separate the voices. That's how amazingly their voices combine together. Two of my favorite female vocalists meshed in perfect harmony

I have appreciated so many songs you have done in the past, but this song takes it to another level. This song means so much to me and my wife. Big heart felt thank you for this reaction to an amazing song. As for another Halestorm song? Might I point you in the direction of "Here's to Us". It's a song that everyone can think of at least one point in their life and relate this song to it. Also one last thing you might be interested in if you want to know more about lzzy you should check out an interview Elizabeth over at the charismatic voice did with her. She really opens up a lot about her love for doing collabs among other topics

This song is fantabulous, and the two of them together are just epic and impressive. This is actually one of the very few songs where I love their livestream version better than the official. I HIGHLY recommend you check that one out. You'll know it's the right one when it starts with the camera at Lzzy's profile, and Amy joins in at "I hear you night after night". Thank you again for an amazing video, and I hope you have an epic week/weekend/whatever for whenever you see this.

Before they recorded this version, Amy joined Lzzy on her 'Raise Your Horns' live stream and performed this. I think I like that version a little better than this one . Here's the link if you want to check it out. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iIavent7ocepfJI As for more Halestorm, try I Miss the Misery, Freak Like Me, I Am the Fire, or Familiar Taste of Poison.

Lzzy's voice reminds me of Joan Jett and Lita Ford. Amy reminds me of Ann Wilson and Annie Haslam of Renaissance, they're a seventies prog rock band.

the end of the song is my favorite, it sounds so..perfect and warm and kinda like an auditory hug. it’s so good live too, same with their cover of heavy; their friendship is a gorgeous thing and they truly were made to sing together. as for halestorm, you gotta check more out. if you want a bi heart attack like i got, do not disturb is an absolute BANGER but read through the lyrics first bc it’s not exactly family friendly if you know what i mean. familiar taste of poison live on jimmy fallon is also fucking amazing. that being said, both of them could duet the ingredients on a bag of dog food for me and i’d die happy.
@do.not.perceive.me.2 жыл бұрын
the stripped version of black vultures is also really good; lzzy also does a frankly insane cover of i will always love you that still blows my mind.
@do.not.perceive.me.2 жыл бұрын
coming back to this to also suggest their cover of i want you (she’s so heavy) by the beatles, lzzy goes fucking -off- in it and it’s so good.

Lzzy, and Amy singing together is like unfiltered joy. Their melodies float like a feather in the wind, and hit like an anvil.

Despite her delicate sounding voice Amy Lee is one of those singers that can easily overpower another singer, even if the other singer is going loud. The only other vocalist that comes to mind that can do this is a bluegrass singer named Allison Krauss who also has a delicate sounding voice. Both women can also harmonize with others flawlessly merging voices. It's rare for such talented vocalists to be willing to fall into a supporting role in a duet but it's really beautiful when they do.

In the 90s the pop world were treated to a duet between Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Both considered to be powerhouses at the time. Styles aside, I honestly believe this blows them outta the water. Yes, I’m probably a little biased, but I appreciate good voices in any genre.

Lzzy and Halestorm have such an amazing catalogue that you can practically chuck a dart at a board and hit a gem. If you're looking for a complete kind of instant classic, "here's to us" "miss the misery" and "the steeple" hit all of those hallmarks. If you're looking for what puts Lzzy's talent on display, "I am the fire" "i get off" "love/hate heartbreak" and "i'm not an angel" should hit that nicely. If you can deal with a Halestorm cover, their cover of "Slave to the Grind" is one vocal rock legend donning tribute to another. If you like collaborations, "Shatter Me" with Lindsay Sterling is a solid go-to as well.

Interesting story... I bought my wife and I tickets to see Avenged Sevenfold, who at the time was for fav. I liked em but wasn't huge into them. I looked at the opening lineup and Halestorm was on there (this was 2007/08) and Loved them.. She got sick and we missed the concert, and I couldn't find anyone to go with me.. So they sat under a fridge magnet for a year. Fast forward a few years, I love A7X and she couldn't get enough Hailstorm. Now she's passed and I love watching people happy with the music we shared.
