I've seen them a few times in New Orleans, one time a solo show; they did a half hour or so acoustic set to "open" for themselves, and then did a full length "amped" set. Now, I'm 51 years old, and I've been seeing bands play live since the mid '80s...dozens of bands, uncounted shows, some more than once. Also, I too am a musician, vocalist and bassist. That being said, I've never seen a single band play live that could match Halestorm for how precisely TIGHT they are as a group. Even when they deviate from a song and improvise or freestyle, they know each other so well they STILL don't miss a single note or timing with it. Phenomenally talented band; if you get a chance to see them live, take it, don't miss it.

Lzzy is simply the absolute best. I would recommend her collaboration with The Picturebooks and Halestorm's newest song Back from the Dead. I have been a fan them for a few years. However, I only recently discovered some of their older songs. The one that stands out for me is called 'Takes My Life'. The best video, imo, was done in 2006 live ( I don't know how to put the KZbin video link). Very Janis Joplinish'. So good. It's kind of bizarre that people are just learning of Halestorm. They've been together for a long time. Lzzy and her brother formed the bank when she is just 14 years old. Another thing I love about Halestorm is all if not most of them write or contribute musically to their own songs. A lot of bands don't do that. And these music companies and managers push bands that fit their own views of what a band needs to be. And I believe don't put others out there, so the ones they like don't get outshined. That's just my opinion.

The drums do fit her voice, and it might be si ce her brother plays them. This is a worthy rabbit hole. I saw this band perform as an opener for a barely advertised free show in Boston about two years before their first album came out, and they definitely left an impression. I saw them again a few months later playing with Shinedown they were signing autographs for a EP that they released with some of their songs and I remember asking them when their first album would be out and they said they thought it was still far off but they had that first one next year and they did not disappoint. You should check out a bunch of their songs but I Miss The Misery, it's not you, here's to us, and I am the fire are probably the next few logical choices.

Iam in love from Bolivia Latinoamerica, LOVEBITES, Guitarists Miyako and Midori are both from the city of Osaka, both took piano lessons for years (Midori also learned organ), and both took up the guitar relatively late. Midori went to music school - Musicians Institute Osaka branch, where one of her instructors was the late Mikio Fujioka, lead guitarist of Babymetal's Kami Band - and Miyako is basically self-taught. Miyako made use of a well-known instructional book series, whose title literally translated into English is "Mechanical Training Phrases from Hell", working her way through the entire guitar series. There are versions of these instructional books for bass and drums too, and there's hardly a Japanese musician on those instruments who hasn't studied them.

Yes, more Halestorm indeed, you need much more Lzzy Hale in your life. She is my favorite singer since Eddie Veddar of Pearl Jam, no matter the genre or gender. She is a freaking force of nature and the Goddess of real rock in the 21st century. I have seen her 3 times in the last 5 years and her and her white hot band have killed it each time, the last one she opened for Alice Cooper and came out for his encore of School's Out and sang with him and jammed out with his crack band. Try I Miss the Misery, Rock Show, Freak Like Me and Mayhem. An incredible live set by Halestorm is at Pink Pop 2016, it is worth searching for, one of their best hour of on fire tunes you will ever hear. I don't know how much you know about Lzzy Hale & Halestorm. Her and her little brother(the drummer) started Halestorm in 1996 When she was 13 and Arejay(brother) was 10. They Finally added Joe Hottenger(Guitar) in 2003 & Josh Smith(Bass & Keys)in 2004 and they released their first CD in 2009. Though they signed a record deal with Atlantic records in 2005. The years before recording and releasing their forst CD they just toured constantly to hone the bands sound. If you liked this song which they won a grammy in Hard rock/metal preformance (first female fronted band to win this Grammy) then you should check out "I Miss The Missery"Live if you can, actually any thing they play is 10Xs better LIVE, "I Am The Fire" "Familiar Taste Of Poison" "I Will Always Love You"(live it's just her and a baby grand piano) Her voice is amazing on this. Latly she sings a song called " That's Damn Rock & Roll" review the live version at the CMA awards. Her preformance will knock your socks off. On December 18th of this year I will Be going to my 40th Hales storm Show since 2010. I Met them at the first show and being in a wheelchair and a fellow musician (this year marks 42 years i've been a Guitar & Bass player) They took me into the Halestorm Family that night and we've been friends ever since.
