This is one of my favorite Journey songs. I saw them in concert 4 times in the 80's and they were always exceptional! I'd recommend "Lights" (official video) and "Mother, Father" (live in Houston 1981)

Infinity is my favorite complete album from Journey. The song actually has a fade in, so it is a bit longer. Two other songs from this LP hit the singles chart "Lights" and "Anytime". Steve Perry's debut with Journey as lead singer, but keyboardist Greg Rollie also sang lead on a few songs including "Anytime".

Please react to this again, but their live concert in 1980 at Osaka Japan, the intro is unbelievable. You also missed Steve's high note during Neil's guitar solo, you had your eyes closed and probably thought that the notes were created with a mechanical instrument and not Steve's voice.

Journey, wow, so many memories, all good! Saw them multiple times. Yes, he does sound that good. This may video have been tuned up. I'm not sure, but there is a live where you see sweat dripping down his face, not sure what song though. I recommend that one. If I find it I'll post it.

Yes, the audio is probably a studio recording. Recordings of partial / full concerts of the late 70s or across the 80s can be found on YT. Songs with Perry hitting high notes in normal; some of the songs are not famous.
