The song Las Palabras de Amor was written by Brian May in honor of the Argentine and Brazilian fans who filled soccer stadiums during Queen's tour of South America. The single was released in 1982 during the Falklands (Malvinas) War between the UK and Argentina. Queen's performance on Top of the Pops ended up being used as an official video by the band.

Beautiful! This was in tribute to all their Latin American fans and culture, just as "Teo Toriatte" (which I highly recommend) was in tribute to their Japanese fans! Roger lives in England, it rains all the time, there is so little sun, it is not easy to get a tan. Brian wrote this song I believe. He speaks a bit of Spanish and wrote this as a tribute to all of their Latin American fans and Queen has a lot of them. Very pretty song. Top Of The Pops made all the bands lip sync their songs and Queen hated that.

@@kingstumble It is a comparative statement. I have lived in the SW USA most of my life where we get over 300 all sunshine days each year. London gets over 100 days a year more rain than we do and even more cloudy-partly cloudy days than we do. Here we have some degree of tan all year if we spend any time outside.

Freddie is Indian from India, he was born on Zanzibar. He was born an English citizen. Roger is like me and we don't like extreme paleness.
